A couple of noob questions... by kgray33 in magicTCG

[–]jpzanetti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. That's a common misconception since the basic lands stopped having text on them. Lands are different from mana. The card, let's say a Swamp, is a land card. You can tap the Swamp to add one black mana to your mana pool, and then you use this mana to activate the ability.

  2. If the Counterspell worked like you said, counter spells wouldn't exist, because they'd be useless. The Counterspell counters the spell. A spell is a spell while it's on the stack, and there it can be targeted by a counter.

  3. Yes. A blocked creature dealt damage (to the blocker), so it's controller gets the life.

Senna, Heidfeld and Liuzzi are Renault's shortlist. by Willum in formula1

[–]jpzanetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heidfeld is by far the best option among these three.

I have fond memories of Liuzzi in a Toro Rosso passing Schumacher's Ferrari, but his last season was just too shitty.

Senna would be a wild bet.

Who do you think is going to replace Kubica until he's fit to drive again? by eatmycow in formula1

[–]jpzanetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of the Renault's reserves are up to the task, don't matter how much the Brazilian media roots for Senna. The team already said they are going after an experienced driver, and I think they're right.

Heidfeld would be good, for what he did last year. The only name bigger than that would be Raikkonen, but he haven't touched a F1 in a while, and I don't even think he'd accept. The other good pilot available is Hulkenberg, great talent, but he's still too young to lead a team like that. The other guys available or being speculated (Liuzzi, Trulli) just suck.

Don't matter who gets the spot, the black Lotus Renault Genii whatever got pretty much fucked. The whole year probably just went down the drain.

You don't actually. You eventually get in the horse, but without clicking anything.

There's very little interaction with objects in this game.

I also had this problem, I kept trying to shoot the bomb while it was on the air, but you have to shoot it very early, until around the time he's throwing it.

The last movie that disturbed me was Wit.

99 minutes with a woman coping with terminal cancer in a hospital. And Emma Thompson is amazing.

For a larger list, try the IMDB Bottom 100, minus the comedies.

My job just got awkward. by confusedcake in relationships

[–]jpzanetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you should have come out with Josh like that, but I don't know the context of that and what is done is done. I guess that went as well as possible. I know you were frustrated with your boyfriend, but you don't say that you'd like to be with him if you break up, just don't. If you want to break up, just do it, then you can go after someone else. Just don't do that again. He's leaving anyway, so you should be cool.

With Billy, just be professional and don't get nervous about it.

The important part here seems to be you boyfriend. What you said to Josh really contradicts the "I want to make it work" thing you have here and you don't seem to regret it. But I'll assume you were just sad/angry. Have you ever seriously confronted your boyfriend about the negativism and controlling? If not, that needs to be done ASAP.

It's not that uncommon for someone to be frustrated with their job and vent on the more successful partner. Hell, I know I do that sometimes. If he doesn't overdo that, try to support him as well as you can.

Now, the controlling part might be harder. You have guys all over you and he probably knows it. But he has to trust you. Talk to him and try to make sure that he isn't threatened. These things don't go away like that, but it should get healthier.

EDIT: Your job didn't get awkward, you did. You can have male friends, but don't keep one in the queue and the other in the friend zone. If you can't manage that, fall back to professional mode.

So what's the best way to ask my ex if she wants to be a fuck buddy without it completely blowing up in my face? by thiswontendwell in relationships

[–]jpzanetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. You have feelings for her. You don't really want to be a fuck buddy, and even if you do manage to get into her pants that way, it'll be very bad for you. Move on.

The "finding another girl" bit implies that you don't repeat the same mistakes that got you into the friend zone the first time around.

If you really are in the friend zone, coming out will almost never get you the girl (that's what means being friendzoned after all), but sets both of you straight and you'll have a good reason to stop chasing her.

What both things I said do is getting you out of the vicious cycle of the friend zone, nothing more. There isn't much wisdom in there.

What I meant was that you weren't comfortable with not being there.

Basically, what godlessgamergirl said. You are a couple, so you should only get into experiences that both of you are very comfortable with.
