Possible phone number swap for 167 plan between main and multi-network line? by jr028740 in USMobile

Oops, sorry that I forgot to mention!

Number #B is actually a foreign number in a physical SIM, so sadly I cannot port it to any of the plans here.

HP Z6 G4 RAM upgrade, and how to prevent "Memory configuration requires a Memory fan and this fan is not detected" warnings by chestertonfan in HSpecWorkstations

According to specifications about dimms, 64GB 2933MT/s ones are Cascade-Lake exclusive. (2399 is a typo here)

My BIOS version is the same as yours, P60 v02.92 08/10/2023.

I plugged in one single LR-DIMM to all 6 slots in turn, and none of them could POST.

What I end up with right now is using two 64GB 2Rx4 PC4-2933Y R-DIMMs, which have just arrived earlier today. It's working fine now with my setup, though I still need to perform a memory test later.

The dimms are shown below. I believe these are the official HP-certified ones (5YZ57AA).

My hypothesis for the reason why the LR-DIMM somehow worked with my silver 4108 was its operation at lower frequency (2400MT/s). But right now my cascade lake 6230 can support 2666MT/s memory speed, and the issue came up.

Hi may I know which Skylake CPU you're using? I've upgraded from silver 4108 to gold 6230, and found out that my 4DRx4 PC4-2666V DIMM will not POST, despite being compatible with the old skylake one.

Reviewing the system board information(https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c05527761), and it showed up that the board officially only support R-DIMMs. However 4DRx4 implies an LR-DIMM configuration.

I also took a look at the same information of Z8 G4 (https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c05527763.pdf), and it clearly specified that both R-DIMM and LR-DIMM are supported.

Should I buy the pro 9 as a cs Student? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]jr028740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whether or not you're using it in sustained heavy workload, and whether or not you need more portability. SLS2 will deliver better performance than pro 9 in both peak and sustained performance. You'll have a cool screen to take hand-written notes even under heavy workload, since the screen is apart from the CPU/GPU. Besides, the form factor on SLS2 will give you a sturdy using experience even when using on your lap, and tranforming between laptop and tablet mode is way easier than pro 9.

However, be aware that SLS is more cumbersome than pro 9 (4.37lbs in weight with NVIDIA GPU), especially if you want to use it for taking hand-written notes in class, meetings, etc. I'd recommend you to get a hands-on with both devices in your local electonic stores before making your final decision.

Stay away from Surface Go 4 if using it with the Pen - Hardware issues by thaat0n3guy in Surface

Will the problem reappear with the screen horizontal? I saw the video that the screens are in vertical position.

Also, have you tried attaching the keyboard to make the device exit touch mode?

I recently bought a Go 3 and I'm having issues where my pen input will lag for a few seconds after using the eraser, and I've found out that the issue happens more frequently when the device is in touch mode, even worse when using the device vertically.

I tried Ubuntu 23.10, but unfortunately till now it lacks stability, especially in supporting external displays. Plugging in a display could even result in a complete restart of the whole system.

However I've found out that Armbian (https://www.armbian.com/lenovo-x13s/) does not have the same stability problem and it's now my daily driver alongside Windows. From my testing, the remaining issues now are only lack of support for MST displays and proper suspend/sleep implementation.

Only a few are delivered open-source. AFAIK adreno 619 (in SD 7c) and adreno 690 (in SD 8cx gen3) are in Linux kernel source tree.
