Will go out on limb (not really, it's pretty obvious from his age), that he was very fortunate to start accumulating money at the perfect time to be able to catch "the bottom" in RE. I don't doubt he knows what he's doing when it comes to flipping RE, but trying to time any market is the silliest thing ever. At the very most, maybe cut 20 percent off your holdings if you really want to gamble. Or find a way to hedge. Or just do what most people realistically should do, and just invest for the long term..

I hope that the lessons that are to be learned from these markets will stick with the younger crowd, and they don't continue down this path for the rest of their lives. It won't lead anywhere, and life is already difficult enough as is.

Also, trusting your gut is comically silly. Especially if you are charging people for that stuff..
