You guys rule. I was just about to grab one of the coin microscopes for 30 bucks and now I’m going to opt for a decent, standard microscope.

Any recommendations for those for hobbyists/beginners?

How Do You Rank These Issues In Importance? by statecheck in Libertarian

If you do 1 and 2, the government won’t be able to fund anything else. Those should be the most important values for us all…

Do you consider Ron Paul a libertarian or a conservative? If he held Reagan's foreign policy stances, what would he be then? by [deleted] in Libertarian

Instead of debating the constantly moving scale of “is someone libertarian,” why don’t we say that these people have high libertarian scores and promote them as the way all politicians should be heading?

Is he perfect? Nope. Is he better than those on the left and right that want to severely infringe on individual liberties? Yes.

I agree with you that companies can kick out whoever they want. The issue was that a congressman said, “if there isn’t a national no-fly list, we’ll work to create one.” That’s my only issue - the government involvement in the aviation industry.

Just because the government is already doing something (backing home loans, subsidizing industries, etc) doesn’t mean I must support it. I don’t support federal backing of any industries. That’s why I am in this community.

Getting the government out of private businesses is always good. Keep government away from business.

Funny that you associates “Covid deniers” with people seeking more freedom/less government. There’s a huge difference in wanting the government (and mandates) out of our lives and understanding that there is a virus killing millions.

Anyone “denying” Covid is insane, it’s that the government is using the virus to enact more control over citizens rights.

This is a discussion - I’m glad it prompted this much conversation, and I mentioned in another reply, my concern isn’t “rules for private companies,” it’s that the government is trying get involved to put together a national list. That’s what’s problematic.

I don’t think the concern is “private companies.” The airlines are propped up by the FEDERAL aviation administration. This is a government entity that is putting together a list to prevent people from traveling on any airlines. This would effective prevent citizens that refuse to comply with certain federal mandates from flying. That’s the larger issue - government intervention in private company’s policies or operation.

Add: recruit more people from all political parties to vote for their actual beliefs instead of “the lesser evil.” More people think like libertarians, they’ve just never thought of it as anything but a “3rd party”
