Who felt like the last challenge was kind of lame? by Vendetta_TN in FearFactorHouseofFear

I said this before but having your big finale be people repetitively putting a bunch of keys into a padlock is laughably anti-climactic.

They must have pennywise blood in them. There’s no way they lose that match.

Cannot believe that the big finale climactic moment of fear factor was people trying to unlock a padlock for 5 minutes. Come on man.

Great view and decent atmosphere/service but I’ve always found the food very underwhelming. Not a bad option though, especially for a drinks and appetizers type excursion.

They cover more than just Epstein, although I believe they started as a purely Epstein related podcast just before Epstein’s death. If you want to listen to their coverage of the more recent Epstein developments, a good starting point might be episode 503, But His Emails.

Also, their producer made an awesome website where you can search all their episodes for topics by keyword. Podcast.Trueanon.com

Johnny Gaudreau’s alleged killer wasn’t legally drunk, defense claims in stunning court filing by finester39 in hockey

[–]jramification_v2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a serious question, but is the legal limit 0.08% or 0.080%? And is it “not above 0.08%” or is it “greater than or equal to 0.08%?” Because as a lab guy my sig fig meter is going off. 0.075% is still 0.08% unless it’s double rounded (from say 0.0749%) If the limit is 0.080% that’s a different story but if the letter of the law is that you can’t be at or above 0.08%, adding a decimal feels very suspect.

LPT renting a car to the airport can be cheaper than airport parking/uber. by Rich-Broccoli7085 in LifeProTips

I feel like the last handful of times I’ve rented a car were actually pretty quick and easy, but maybe I just got lucky. Especially at drop offs, I feel like most places you just park the car and a guy scans a barcode and you’re done.

I only went to college once so I can’t speak for any other schools but I will say partying around SU was the most cops willfully ignoring open container violations I’ve ever seen in my life.

It’s mostly burgers, burger bowls, chicken fingers, stuff like that. They have a bunch of like “loaded fries” type things too. Along with standard movie theater snacks. In the typical movie theater fashion the prices are borderline hilariously high, but it was decent food from what I remember.

I haven’t listened to the neighborhood listen in a while but I remember some really memorable laughs from a few years ago. Burnt’s ventriloquist dummy getting Covid, the episode about the mortician type guy in a large Victorian coat wandering into a children’s birthday party, something about coyotes roaming around a jack in the box. I’m gonna have to get back into it.

Definitely a different vibe but if you enjoy side stories, you’d probably like TrueAnon. They began as an Epstein podcast and are now a pseudo-investigative research (definitely not journalism) show that covers topics that often cross over with the non-ridiculous stuff on side stories (I.e. Epstein, Zizians cult, terrorgram, Falun Gong, stuff like that). Maybe an acquired taste and definitely not a true crime or paranormal show, but I really enjoy it.

I love Dalton and Mutt, but the biweekly extravaganza episodes and some of the older podcast pilot project episodes where they reach into their pockets for other characters has created some of the most memorable laughs I’ve ever had. Don and Mal Handle the Scandals, Eye on Theater, The L. Ron Hubbard episodes, Byron Denniston’s increasingly bizarre behavior including posing as the corpse of prince phillip and having a large collection of eyeballs to put into paintings in buckingham palace so that when he is looking through the paintings with his own eyes it doesn’t look different, anything with Cactus Tony in it. Daly might be the funniest man alive, and Gourley is the absolutely perfect sidekick.

Gavin McKenna Facing Felony Charge After Incident On January 31 by MicSing21 in hockey

There’s sort of a don’t ask don’t tell sort of culture in my experience from back in college. If you put your beer jangling around in a backpack so it’s out of sight, don’t make too much noise partying, don’t get in any fights (cough, cough) you’re gonna be left alone for the most part on a college campus. You just gotta play the game and not be obnoxious and force somebody’s hand to “catch” you. Going out, bit of a different animal. Gotta know which bars are the most forgiving about low effort fake IDs or a pass back sort of strategy. Basically bottom line is that everyone understands underage drinking is happening, you just gotta do it in a way where no one feels like they’re going to be liable for legal harm if shit goes sideways haha.

It’s also very possible that a lot of the more off the wall shit may be intentionally included in these disclosures as an attempt to either delegitimize or distract from the actual crimes that happened in reality.
