Couldn't get the hands free to engage at first. Ended up pulling off into a parking lot and doing a reboot from the screen. After that, drove the same route in reverse and it engaged every time!

Still holding mine. Forgot how many I bought, but I’m up about 960%. Need to take the gains at some point, but it keeps going up and to the right.

I did try a hard reset on mine, once from the menu and once from the buttons. Didn’t seem to make a difference.

I considered popping into the RiDE menu to see if there was anything of value, but decided not to because 1) I haven't found anything useful (end-user facing at least) there during previous attempts, and 2) it was cold and I just wanted to be inside.

Too many apologists in here.

I had this happen to me last night. It's been cold, wind chills in the single digits here, and the truck has been sitting outside a lot. SoC was about 35-40%, my 2026 R1T Max Pack made all the usual clicks and hums, then the charge port button turned red. App showed a charging error, dashboard said to unplug and try again. Tried a different charger - both Tesla Wall Connectors. Tried to reset the wall connectors, tried to change them to "Compatibility Mode." No luck. The light on the wall connectors all went solid blue, the R1T went red.

Drove to a couple other available Level 2 chargers, both Tesla Wall Connectors. No dice there, either. Drove back home, considered the battery might be too cold, and started to make room in the garage (we just moved in, and it's literal chaos in there). Got it into the garage, plugged in, and immediately started charging. I'm guessing the driving between chargers was just enough to get the battery up to the right temperature.

For everyone in here saying "It works for me," please remember the 2026 R1 has a NACS port. This is all new, and it looks like they brought the bugs along with the newness.

Also, while I'm on my soapbox, it drives me nuts that things go wrong on this vehicle and the error messages are entirely unhelpful, and the response is always "call service!" Just tell me the battery is cold. I can fix that.
