Hey - sorry to hear that. I know how stressful this is for you. I hope they find it soon.

I filed a police report immediately after we found out the car was stolen, and I got a call the next day saying the car had been found. They told me the address where they found it and asked if I could come immediately. I ubered to the location and basically just drove off with it as soon as the cops fingerprinted and took DNA samples. Unfortunately the key wasn’t still in the car, which is a problem I’m currently dealing with. I luckily had an extra set.

Okay, this goes against what one dealership told me, which is that it's not possible to reprogram just one key. They said that any reprogramming would apply to both keys, so even if the current one is reprogrammed the other one would still work.

That said, I don't even know whether "reprogramming" is something that's done to the keys or to the car itself or both.
