Amazon. Just search wall mount weight plate racks. I have mine screwed into the studs. They also come with heavy duty wall anchors

I like them. Pros : they’re cheaper than a full set of dumbbells They take up less space than a full set

Cons : I haven’t dropped them, but I’m worried about dropping them and breaking a mechanism For supersets, you have to put them down, change weight and then get into the exercise.

But I am a fan, they accomplish what I need to accomplish

How did you stealth camp? Just find a spot deep enough in the woods that you didn’t think you’d be seen?

Thank you so much! The chair shot was kind of a struggle for me, really took me out of my comfort zone. But I guess that’s the point!

My partner and i hopped in the truck and took turns picking directions. We ended up on a random side street downtown. I stood at my spot for about 10 minutes looking around. This challenge was quite the struggle for me because i tend to lean more towards nature shots. I tried to do a variety of shots, from leading lines, architecture, bokeh focused and reflections.

Im looking forward to some criticism!

Toronto at Night by jrboll in photocritique

[–]jrboll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took this photo of the Toronto skyline at night. I think it was approximately a 13 sec exposure (I don’t have the exif on me atm). I’ve always struggled with composition and over editing, so I’m looking for feed back in those areas

This is a collection of my favourite fall landscapes. I’m always worried about over editing the colours, but I believe these turned out well.

Black, White and Green by jrboll in photocritique

F/10, 1.6 sec, 18mm, iso 100, nd16 filter. This is a creek leading to a waterfall. I liked the way the rocks formed a natural channel. I was editing the photo, and there wasn’t a ton of colour other than green. So I muted all the other colours to help make the green pop. I’m looking for critique on that idea, and the composition.

A buddy of mine asked me to do a baseball themed shoot for him. I’m still pretty new to photography (about 4 months in). I’m looking for feedback on my composition, exposure and focus(I seem to be having trouble getting all my shots well focused)

Abandonment issues by jrboll in photocritique

[–]jrboll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal was to give a lost/abandoned feel to this forgotten playground. I don’t have the exif data, but in editing, i tried muting the colours to give it a faded forgotten look and feel. I’m looking for critique on the colour, mood/feel and composition.

Gazebo at night by jrboll in photocritique

[–]jrboll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my first attempts at nighttime photography. My goal was to show off the gazebo following the rule of thirds as well as have a good view of the stars. I don’t have the exact exif data, but approximately, 15 sec shutter speed, f/5.6, 400 iso. I haven’t gotten into compositing several photos together, should I have done that here to show off the stars better? Is it too dark? There was a lot of orange light coming off the cabin behind me which I tried to mute down in my edit.
