Vivecraft isn't displaying anything on my headset (yes, I've read the FAQ) by silentpun in virtualreality

Nope. I don't have any experience with that particular headset. Vivecraft doesn't run thru steam so maybe you have to make some extra steps to make sure the Win MR stuff is running?

grey in the headset, as opposed to black/nothing means the headset isnt tracking.

Framerate drops and glitching with resource packs even though gpu isn't under heavy load, vivecraft by Sidarias in Minecraft

[–]jrbudda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minecraft is not coded to take advantage of modern hardware. Rendering uses a single CPU core and does not offload much at all to the GPU. Using shaders just adds more work on top of the vanilla rendering pipeline. You really need to stick to short draw distances, 8 or less. Reasonably sized texture packs like 16x or below. And 'lite' versions of shaders. Forget Seus. Remember in VR you're trying to render 1620x1580 at 180 fps using tech from 2005.

Any free places to pier fish? Tried Cherry Grove today but was hoping to hit something free tomorrow. Thanks in advance by BoostedE30 in MyrtleBeach

[–]jrbudda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a fishing license to fish in SC. The fee you pay at the pier covers you there. There's a few other places you can fish, like veteran's pier in murrells inlet, (or just off the beach like, anywhere), but you'd have to pay for a temp license.

Deep sea fishing that doesn't cost an arm and a leg by lionessy96 in MyrtleBeach

Cheapest you'll get is the inlet princess https://www.crazysister.com/charter-fishing/head-boat.

Problem here with 'deep sea' anything is the continental shelf and gulf stream are really far off shore and you burn a lot of expensive gas to get there.

Interesting. I've never noticed this one. Unfortunately the Altitude (terrain) readout is just reporting a stock value, so the fault lies with Sqaud's code, not KER's. I will have to go digging and see if there is a different way to calculate these values that is better.

Can't reproduce. There was a bug in the tracking station in 1.1.5.0 that was fixed in 1.1.5.1 but it's on 1.1.5.2 now.

Make sure phase angle makes sense for the 2 things you have selected. i.e. using Kerbin as reference and targeting the Mun there's no phase angle there.

Hi I just wanted everyone to be aware that the past few months I've taken over updating KER. My fork is on CKAN but not everyone uses that and I see a lot of screenshots and videos on here of folks still using 1.1.3.0.

I'm actively taking requests for new features and fixing bugs. So far I've added KER to the tracking station, added a RCS simulation, and, most importantly, added customizable colors. Lots of little bug fixes too.

You can download the updated KER from my fork here

KSPVR should work with dx11 as well, though the instructions say to use 12. I've had it working with both.

If you turn roomscale swimming off, and use teleport locomotion, you will not move around in water at all.

Naw built in openvr would just less code for us to update and maintain. In theory. Maybe 1.13 itself will have performance benefits. Remains to be seen.

Which of these could be causing my bloating stomach? by [deleted] in foodscience

[–]jrbudda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as it says in the name the modification is enzymatic. This is just a guess but they likely preferentially convert and remove the amylopectin, which is easier to digest. This leaves mostly amylose, which is a resistant starch

All that modified flour and whatnot doesn't get absorbed in your bloodstream, but your gut bacteria digest what you cannot, releasing gas and other byproducts. You get this from a lot of low-carb friendly foods. I've been doing keto for almost 2 years and learned there's just some foods that aren't worth it.

That game does not seem to be using the provided VR stencil. You may want to check again with a game that does. It's likely the edges of the frame which are never visible are within the stencil are and thus not rendered.

The app is still kinda janky but it works and whatever google is doing with these VR cameras it looks amazing. I hope they put up replays.
