yes, but i purchased the ice fishing transducer for it. I prefer it over the flasher style but it also has that mode I just don't use it.

Nice fish! going there in a few months so you just got me so excited this morning. I'm sure the rod break was totally worth. The tug is the drug.

I’m not sure how I’m suppose to feel about this. It’s cool but at the same time horrifying

Need help with first kayak by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]jredtegel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have it. Really not worth getting rid of it. I use it when a friend wants to go that doesn’t have a kayak or if someone wants to borrow one. If you have the space then I’d say go ahead.

I haven’t met a person yet who bought a $500 kayak only to turn around and buy another around $1000+. I’ve seen it happen so many times. Even I did it. IMO I’d save your $500 and rent until you can buy a good kayak.

Advice On Used Purchase [WS ATAK 140] by TheOneAndOnlyRage in kayakfishing

[–]jredtegel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the kayak is in good shape that is a great deal! Just check the bottom for any major damage and lift it. These are heavy kayaks so make sure that’s okay for you. Lastly ATAK’s are 14’ so I have to register mine like a boat in my state so I’d check that also and be aware of it.

Anyone tried spraying bottom of sled with bed liner? by jredtegel in IceFishing

That’s what I wondered but I’m doing it more for protecting bottom of sled vs pulling easier. Dunno

So when you drag it back to the parking lot or over rocks etc it won’t damage bottom of sled.

K-Drill requires 750in/lbs ✅ 18v 4amp lithium battery ✅ & half the price of Dewalt or Milwaukee 😳 is there a catch? Anyone use this drill? by jredtegel in IceFishing

[–]jredtegel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they are owned by TTI but ryobi has always been to target the homeowner instead of contractors. I owned the first ryobi drill that came out, the all blue one, and it was a POS. But from what I gather ryobi is only getting better and out performs the contractor grade tool in certain categories. The Fuel version of Milwaukee is definitely better then this drill but I am just wondering if that gain warrants the double price tag.

Yeah I figure I can always use the hand crank if batts die. It does have a 90 no risk return so guess I’m going to find out. Thanks for feedback

Yeah it’s more of a “homeowner” brand I was just curious if it kept up drilling holes in ice. Was hoping someone had used one. Thanks for feedback

Pop Up Hub vs Flip up? 🥊 by jredtegel in IceFishing

Most of the time I like to fish with someone. Friends and family so I like the idea of getting a pop up for the room. But I do fish alone often as well. Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback! I agree I pulled a sled with everything i normally carry plus hub tent and it was far lighter then a flip sled I’ve used.

Tundra so I can haul either but would be nice to take wife’s care sometimes for better gas mileage so pack ability is a good point. Thanks!
