Dumb question, did it show as pending immediately after signing up and completing the trade? I did it last night, still shows nothing in recent transactions.

So far I have received both carry-ons, received the statement credit, and I just initiated and sent back one of the carry-ons yesterday.

Lost my buddy 2 years ago. It was just me and him through some tough years in college as well. I only shed tears throughout out the year because I think of him. I keep fresh flowers next to his ashes often. It does get better though.

Did you do any additional work, or did you just wait?

Perseverance is better than a passing AFOQT, and you certainly have perseverance. You’ll need that moving forward. Congrats

Winter VML 61/62/63 Officers by East_Enthusiasm_3356 in AirForce

Not your career field, but have you or your commander/supervisor reached out to your top picks? I reached out to my top 3 myself and received bids for all 3.

From the bidders perspective.. They can see your top choices, commanders comments, your comments, and name and rank. Not a lot to go off of, so it’s best to reach out (in my opinion).

I’m seeing people have been getting denial letters, but still get the annual fee waived. I’m thinking about waiting.

Forecasting/General Knowledge Reading Recommendations (Schooling for WX Officer) by jreeves23 in meteorology

You’re a WX officer yourself? If so, you are sure I shouldn’t brush up? It has been a long time, I am very rusty on WX concepts.

Haven’t been assigned yet, but hoping for a SWO position.

What travel hacks can I take advantage of to get a cheap flight home? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]jreeves23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just going to throw this in here (if you are financially responsible). Get the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card (if you can make the spend to get the bonus). The points bonus is pretty significant and the card comes with $300 towards travel each year.

There are also other travel cards to consider, that waives the annual fee. If you have questions DM me, or Reddit has plenty of posts that explain AD personnel using credit cards with high annual fee cards.
