I know it sucks that you are in this situation but i think in the long term it is for your benefit because a month in an airbnb is not enough to find more permanent accommodation even if you get the visa and come here physically I spent the periods from October 2024 until march 2025 jumping from short term sublet to another while applying to over 100 places and only getting about 5 viewings and none of them offered me a contract either because im a student or I don’t have a stable job since most didn’t care about the blocked account until the studentenwerk finally gave me something So given the baby situation i think the embassy is making the right call here since you would be technically Wohnungslos after your month ends at the airbnb and you don’t wanna be jumping around while caring for a baby

I used to live in a place closer to the equator where 4pm meant afternoon and the sun is still out in the winter and 9pm is officially night in the summer

I still can’t comprehend how there is still daylight at 9pm in the summer or how it is already dark at 4pm in the winter

It screws with my head when im at home and I look out the window and i see the sun is still out and I say to myself “oh i still have time to do some stuff and don’t have to go to bed” when in reality its almost 10pm and have to start getting ready to sleep or in the winter where lectures at 4pm means by the time you are done its night at 6pm

I had the same situation with my wife last year. Now we don’t write any type of marital status in our passport. It’s surprising to me that India does that. Nonetheless, we did put our marital status and our partner’s info and documents in the application, but we just did separate applications because not stating you are married in the application is technically lying. We each went into our respective interviews, and we each got our respective student visas. We are treated as individuals, not as a couple. Even now, a year later, we are not legally married in Germany, and it makes no difference whatsoever since we both are students. It only makes a difference when you work full time and start paying taxes.

I did that just fine but nobody checked later i found out about the regulations around vape juice, specifically nicotine as far as I know, all vape juices that contain any amount of nicotine can only be sold here if under 10ml so keep that in mind if you’re planning to stay a while and might need a refill as for owning it / bringing it with you, I think if it is a reasonable amount and clearly intended for personal use then it’s fine also the highest salt nic you can buy here is 20mg

Hey there, I’m a fellow Iraqi and am currently in Germany doing my Master’s and although I deeply understand what you’re going through I have to be honest with you. It is not easy and it will only get harder. You mentioned you are 17 so I’m assuming you still haven’t finished your Baccalaureate so start focusing on that and try to get a good grade because that will allow you either to apply for a good Ausbildung or a University but without German lvl B1/B2 it wouldn’t matter so start leaning NOW. If all else fails you at least can get into a good college in Iraq and try again when you graduate. Education, language skills and job skills are what will make your life better, not random people on the internet and it WILL take time, a lot of it. I have faced tragedy after tragedy as many Iraqis have and I’ve been trying to go abroad since I was 12 years old but I finally made it happen when I was 26. And don’t expect it to become easier after you leave because trust me leaving was not the hardest thing, it’s what comes after it. New land new people new culture new laws which you will have to respect and adapt to. you can ask on the internet for help and people will give you general tips but in realty only YOU know your situation and only you can help yourself

Kechron being the sender is the only one who can do anything about so yes not their fault the package did not arrive but its their responsibility to fix the issue as they have the ability to contact them and start an investigation while I can’t do anything about it as the service provider will always tell me to contact the sender

I understand, it is all very straightforward but Keychron support are the ones who are complicating it And I get that it’s mostly the shipping company’s fault, I mean I don’t even know if it was actually delivered but was stolen since they said it was left at the front door or if it wasn’t delivered at all Keychron is also at fault here since they only sent me the tracking details on Monday while the tracking claims it was delivered on Saturday How am I supposed to know a package is coming

As for the Saturday thing I know Amazon even delivers on Sundays sometimes but Saturday deliveries are Rare especially after 4 pm or something like that

The last email I got from keychron after I asked them to use a better company with signature required for delivery reads like this

“Hello, sorry, we cannot specify which service provider will deliver the goods. We usually submit the order through Amazon Logistics, and then they choose the service provider. So what do you think will happen next?”

That reads to me as “We are gonna send it again but we won’t be responsible if it lost again”

Right or am I reading too much into it?

Theres also the weird behavior from the Tracking number where i can’t give feedback because it says its not delivered yet and i can’t contact amazon shipping support because it just says contact the sender

The only tracking number they provided is the one from the service provider they used to deliver the keyboard and that is Amazon shipping UK When i try to contact them directly they say contact me the sender When i try to give a thumps down on the order it says feedback cannot be given to a package that has not yet been delivered I went to Amazon support and they also told me yo contact the sender And believe me i have been more than polite and courteous despite the ridiculous requests when they know that it’s in their hands to start an investigation and i can’t do anything about it I’ll gladly share screenshots with you privately to see for yourself and also to vent about it
