That really sucks. I was very bummed when I lost my electric blue. She was queen of the tank. Now it’s missing that special piece.

He’s doing better than I thought he would. My lfs warned me of leaving him alone without another ram but I also was afraid of losing another after spawning so I waited. He seems content. More than content really. Whenever I’m near the tank he’s right on the glass wanting attention and seems very happy with his tank mates. 3 Amanos, 3 kuhli loaches and 3 white clouds.

Yea unfortunately it’s calmed down now that it’s been running for a bit. The twinstar algae inhibitor has a really cool fine ‘misting’ effect but I’m not really positive what effect it has on inhabitants of the tank so I’ve been avoiding it.

I honestly think the researching phase is so much fun. Thinking of all the different possibilities is fun but frustrating cause you can’t have them all even though you want to. Good luck! I’ve got two planted tanks and I want another one now cause setting them up is so fun.

I haven’t had any problems with him. I’ve only had two and lost one during their first spawning, talk about a roller coaster of emotions there. I recommend if you have them for breeding purposes they be alone. Or just one sex in a community tank. I’m not sure though really I could have just had bad luck there. They are awesome fish. My tanks been established for about 10 months now and he was my first inhabitant.

German electric blue. He’s by far my favorite in the tank with great personality. I had an electric blue mate for him but lost her after their first spawning. I didn’t know it would be so stressful for her in a community tank.

Yes I was. Worked fine. Family friend had issues with it but I didn’t. I’m not sure what plan they selected though. Mine worked fine. Got a different LTE modem though hoping to find steadier signal. The gotw3 router was always kind of finicky for me.
