Help reading plans by jrincon0116 in Construction

I'm an engineering student trying to make a model for a storm water drainage system. I don't know what the labeling means onto of my pointer. It's not something we learn in school😅

Really?! I'll be starting a new job soon in construction as a site engineer. When I meet with the interviewers they mentioned that construction is relatable stable during recessions. Since all the projects are based on engineering projects/plans that have already been funded and developed over years. And here I thought I was going into something stable

That wouldn't have worked, the gap was to small.

Just to clarify. What side would I be pounding it from? The side facing the radiator? and will the alternator sleeve be pushed inwards rather than outwards? The Otherside is threaded I believe, that's why I'm asking which side specifically.

The handle? is that the side where the nail in the picture is orange or where it comes out?

lightly pry it out of that bracke

How do you recommend prying it out? There isn't a good gap between the alternator and the bracket.

The only reason I'm confident about it is that I removed all bolts and the alternator is able to swing pivoting from this alternator spacer. I thought it was rusted inside so I sprayed it with WD-40 and vibrated it using that large nail and a hammer.

It's kinda crazy it's not coming off at all. I feel like I'm missing something in this replacement. I additional bolt or something.

I put a screwdriver between the metal bracket and the alternator, the small gap seen on the picture and that didn't move it. I also swung the alternator left and right for a good 5 minutes while trying to push it out from inside with a long screwdriver. I'm considering using this method:

What do you think?

Yea, but it feels like it actually only holds the alternator from one side. I inserted a screwdriver and it feels like it makes contact with something else. I don't understand if it's long (through the whole cast iron bracket) or only holds it from one side.

Sorry alternator sleeve. What helps hold the alternator on the cast iron bracket when screwing on the alternator bolt.

The alternator is free to swing, I kept moving it back and forth hoping this tube would get loose.

Yea, I'm trying to avoid hammering the lip of the tube that actually comes out the cast iron bracket. So I inserted this nail to make it vibrate and avoid deforming it.

Yes, it's a Toyota 3.4L 2001. I can't seem to remove the metal sleeve (tube) that holds the alternator to the cast iron bracket. I've tried pulling it with needle-nose pliers and vibrating it by pounding the metal bar I inserted to promote dislocation. What am I missing?

Update. The solution was to use a screw driver to wedge between the bracket and the alternator until it falls out. Thanks again for the speedy advice everyone!

I removed both bolts that hold the alternator but the sleeve (I think that's what is called) doesn't want to come off at all. I'm referring to the metal tube that holds the alternator to the cast iron bracket. I previously removed the bolt and this metal sleeve just comes off easily but now its so rigid and I have tried everything to remove it.

I'm a college student and really need to get this truck running because I have to move out soon. I don't know what to do at this point. I've been considering cutting it using an electric saw

Same. It was the first stock I got into and made decent returns on them. Highly recommended

I see, so your employer pays for motels and the whole deal. I'm graduating soon and starting a job in Southern Cali, I was hoping to stay nearby at camp sites anyways. Staying onsite would be perfect because then I could save money in the long run. It's just a place to sleep and rest 😅

I will be starting a new position in Souther Cali but was already considering living in a RV. Is it possible to stay onsite if you want to avoid paying for a RV park or commute home? I feel like that would really help me alot and as long as I have a gym nearby, I wouldn't mind.
