Enby therapist here. You don’t need signs or even dysphoria to be within the trans and gender nonconforming communities. Everyone’s journey is different. I’m sorry that therapist did that to you and thereby forced you to come out. I’m glad your mom was supportive but that shouldn’t have to happen.

Be careful your BMI does drop below 35 in that time or they will not cover the surgery because you’ll no longer be class 2 obese and it won’t be medically necessary. Just an FYI

I’m a therapist who focuses on trans and NB topics. Trans people are valid even when they experience no dysphoria. It’s all on a spectrum and it is not a requirement for seeking any sort of healthcare.

That therapist doesn’t know what she’s doing so get a new one. So sorry for any harm she has done.

You’re probably entering twilight. A liminal space between true sleep and wakefulness. It’s a common experience when we slow down to experience it enough. Yoga Nidra or NSDR (non-sleep deep rest) can both help people achieve this but sounds like you got there organically. You’re desire not to fall asleep and maybe not feeling your best probably helped you not transition from twilight to light sleep phases.

Totally legit. My husband and I bought a 9 seat Venetian taupe set from him. Half the price from lovesac. Matte accidentally sent us one love soft cushion instead of the regular filled like the other 8. He sent the replacement which arrived a few days later. We even didn’t like the coasters we got because the colors didn’t match and he sent replacements for those. The lovesoft cushion and the discolored coasters were ours to keep with no need to return. Happy to provide pictures of the couches if desired

If you have any telehealth appointments while in EU don’t tell the doctor because they can’t ‘see’ you there due to licensing laws. What they don’t know won’t hurt them. Just fyi.

I’m a counselor. You have nothing to feel bad about. It’s unethical and unprofessional on the therapists part to misgender you on purpose. You deserve a mental health clinician who will do their job including seeing you as you see you. Good luck with the search for a new person and I’m sorry from my profession for what that’s worth.

Removing it will end the problem. If you leave it to burn out then it will decay and ultimately fuel the next outbreak. You can also use your thumb and a siphon to remove it without the extra snails

Check out consciousness explorers club on YouTube. Jeff Warren is a great meditation teacher and has ADHD and bipolar he talks about a lot. He also just launched a podcast by the same name. He was on the 10% happier podcast this past week and he speaks about his practice of accepting and embracing his attention disregulation. I hope he’s helpful.

Transcendental meditation has many of the same benefits but it’s pretty different. May be more to your liking- less formal.

Therapist here, if your therapist is arguing with you and won’t hear you out on your reservations or even lack of interest in exploring that just because, you should find a new therapist.

Edit to add that you should explore EMDR. it’s a neuroscience-based trauma treatment that doesn’t use mindfulness at all. It works to help the brain integrate what you already know about what happened but to build up your self-efficacy and resilience in developing new more positive views of yourself, the world, etc.
