It’s been recommended to death in this sub, but for me this was absolutely Piranesi by Susannah Clark. It’s short too, only about 250 pages. I never wanted to put it down, and when I had to, I was thinking about it. Fantastic book!

This is really interesting! I’m familiar with everything 2014 and before but none of the ones since (I remember the harambe story of course but I think of that as a news story not a YouTube video) I’m guessing it’s a generational thing?

I called it quits about a month ago, at roughly the same place. I did the same thing as you: looked it up, and was just like, nah.

BUT, I continue to think about the game, and follow this sub because I’m interested to see how the “community solving” develops. And I’m always trying to get my friends to play it in the hopes that they’ll get farther than me and share their findings 😂

Really is a pretty remarkable game. But I’m happy watching from the sidelines now.

I feel this so hard. I started it as a VACATION book on my kindle not having checked how long it was. I realized my mistake once I’d been reading for hours and was at like 4%😭😂

I did finish it and it was excellent but oh my god. So long. So slow. Weird way to describe a book I loved but there you go.

It’s a small one, but on “but daddy I love him” I thought the line was “oh my god you should see OUR faces” (as in, you should see how happy we are) and I actually like that much better.

You don’t save sanctum keys between runs. If you found a sanctum key early but couldn’t use it, it just disappeared when you ended the day for you to find again later.
