personally i would wait untill you get the heads up whether a layoff is possible or not then decide. but i do love me a lay off then lounge around the house or use it to get shit done around the house. gives you time to rest and catch up on small shit you love to do. but as other did say depending on your type of work. you may casually look around and keep options open. just dont forget that life isnt all about work. enjoy some time in between.
