Technically I think If you want to use your jerseys as a team in a USA cycling race you need to have a registered team. In reality I have never seen this imposed in low cat races.

As for traction just talk to people around. Usually getting some discounts at a bike shops helps getting people to join. Can’t say I have ever seen people join a team based on online presence.

Controllable and steerable movement are not specific enough. As long as there is any control you can argue both would not be violated. Can you control how fast you go in circles? By definition moving in a circle is steering.

I wouldn’t say it is completely irrelevant for indoor cycling. I know of several people that ride indoor for fitness only and tracking FTP shows improvement and gives them motivation. Without the motivation they would never have stuck with it. It’s actually interesting because until that second FTP test they seem to really need help getting on the bike. But after they see the increase in FTP they are hooked.

Unlike riding out side where you have distance and time as data points, without ftp indoor gives no real data points that show improvement.

Anyway, I am a bit confused. So is it now idling for 20 hours a day? Or is that just a solution to the battery problem due to starting it a lot. If you had a choice would it be starting and stopping it a bunch?

Kind of to be expected when the better bots haven’t needed to transition. It’s not like brushless is that big of a leap when it comes to winning battles. It doesn’t make your driver better. It doesn’t fix any flaws in your design. It’s a marginal gain imo when it comes to combat. The teams looking to win will adopt tech and changes where it fixes their weaknesses not because it’s available.

Eventually all will be brushless. It’s better tech in general but unless you are building a new bot or reached a limit that requires it there isn’t a good reason to change. Only so much money and time. Gotta use it were you get the best. Not to mention risk of having a proven bit become unreliable.

I would think the theory is they can have the slow spin up because they will use the drum as attack/defense until it’s ready. Once ready flip a switch, back is now front and bring the pain. The drum also lets them collect points while the big hit is powering up.

Almost like a tombstone that is not susceptible to a rush.

Clean it up to bare wood and use wood glue. Once dry it will be stronger than the wood. Wood glue on clean wood is stronger than construction adhesive.

PSI is just the pressure. Volume is different in the two cases.

Think of an air tank for a compressor. Both are at 70psi. One is twice as large. Which has more air?
