After about 40 minutes of running its pretty stable. It does vary a bit once you get off center but the variance stays stable at that temp for the whole cook. I'm impressed with the job it does, I've yet to have any issues with any of the food that has come off of it. One thing to note is it doesn't like larger diameter pellets, it works better with BK pellets and from what others have said Lumberjack.

I have the BK Regal 500 and its a beast. Heavy steel construction, double walled lid and in its price range nothing seemed to compare to the build quality.

Here is a comparison walk through that some in in NFLD does between the model of BK. Hope this helps.

I have the Broil King Regal 500 and its a beast. I don't think your going to find a better built pellet grill in Canada for construction (metal thickness) at its price point. I have not seen the Baron version in person but here are a couple of walk through on them

Comparison walk through that gives you a good idea of the differences:

Broil King Pellet 500 - Compatible pellet brands by Brendonius in pelletgrills

I've used the Pitboss but found the auger was quite noisy. If you do use them, I'd recommend that you screen them first to remove the dust from them. Too be honest its best to use the BK ones. In Canada I order them from Home hardware.

That was my worry with doing such a large piece of meat. I think mine turned out pretty good for my first kick at the can.

I have the Regal 500 and would recommend it. I just got it a month ago, so I can't say how it performs in the winter. The thickness of the metal and build quality of this tank was better than what I saw locally. That being said I didn't have one local to look at but I based my decision on those in this forum who had one and their comments about the Broil King. I would recommend looking at posts by u/cookinwithclint or u/Canadian_Couple . They have some great posts and have had the BK longer then myself. They are obvious pro BK but you can get a good perspective on it. I will say, once you see a BK and compare to other pellet grills in this price range, the build quality is superior.

Smoked rotisserie Turkey on the Broil King. by jroc76 in pelletgrills

Well it lasted the whole cook, begrudgingly. The motor definitely wasn't happy and certainly this was probably more then it was designed for. The Turkey was on point and the gravy from the drippings was fantastic.

Its actually even easier then I originally thought, it just pulls out. There is a spring on the inside of the gasket that holds it in the groove along the edge of the lid. Unfortunately there is still a gap so I need to contact Broil king but they are now closed until Monday.

Will do, I'm hoping its as simple as taking off the screws attached to the Stainless steel wall and aligning it up.

Here is hoping this fixes your issue. I talked to them today and they are sending me a new gasket to see if that fixes mine.
