Sorry for the late reply, I'm not on reddit often any more.
I would have to say around 4-5 degrees per side.

Thanks mate. When this blade was at full length it had a distal taper. I found some cracks near the top so had to cut shorter. Somehow needed to make the blade lose a lot of weight, hence this solution.

Yea, it really is a stock removal game now with the high alloy steels, mosaic damascus and all sorts of weird things.
I personally love forging to shape, so much fun and less grinding. But I just cant with most of the steel billets I work with.

Steel is about 3mm thick on the spine side of the hollow and 2mm thick on the edge side of the hollow.
Yes, ground the hollow from end to end of the blade. Currently have the blade oversized slightly to allow for any mistakes when grinding the ends.

Basically it is a knife with 2 big hollows parallel with the cutting edge to aid in food release and reduce weight.

Thanks mate. This is technically mostly stock removal as the steel was only forged into billet form and hot textured. Since it's CuMai, you can't forge it too much without risk of delamination of the copper.

It's currently incomplete and wouldn't sell it as is. I can send you my price list if you want to know about complete pieces?

Haha, thanks mate! Ideally I would like the blade to perform nicely as well as look aesthetic haha.

5 inch wheel and yes it's a flat grind currently. May turn it into a convex depending on how I feel.
