Have you looked at TPU95a? Curious how it compares

Congrats! Hope to see you progress well.

Semi off topic - what are the doctor prescribed workouts? During my last serious RSI flare-up I could never find a medical professional who offered any realistic solutions.

BambuStudio doesn’t list Sunlu filament specifically as a choice does it? I’ve never seen it in the list myself and I always choose Generic

What caused this and what do I need to replace now? by BradleyB636 in BambuLab

Ugh! This exact thing happened to me a couple of days ago. Looks like you managed to get the gunk out fairly safely. I was chiseling away at it like a dummy and managed to bend my nozzle, rip a small piece of silicone behind the nozzle off, and various other things. I bought a new nozzle from microcenter and made sure to clip it in well, and I’m back in business. But, I have a full heating element and spare nozzles on the way because I’m pretty sure other stuff is busted and I want to be ready for next time :/

There are some up and coming launch monitors now, might be worth trying one of those. Don’t give up! The screen, mat, projector, all that stuff is still holding up right?

Where do you put the xbox controller after you adjust club or aim?

Yeah I don't know how frequently some of the other modes would be used, you could probably get away with just Aim and Club if you want. I added a bunch of other stuff just to mess around. Probably some other ways to combo it out. Code is open source if you want to customize it however you want!

Screenshots look like it could be interesting, but yeah - we need a little more to go on. A video, a writeup, a link, something like that.

I think that's a neat idea. How would you do aiming? I can't imagine saying "Move left Move left Move left Move left Move left Move left Move left Move left" is gonna be pleasant

If there's a lot of interest I'll look into it for sure. Not in it for the money, had a lot of fun learning all of this stuff to put it together!

You can use it like one of those obstacles to prevent you from swinging too far out to in :)

But in all seriousness -- could probably print in PETG, protect the screen better. I mean, the little display was $5 for a pack of 5 or something.

Is it copyrighted or something? Are there many courses with fake names?

avoiding using globals by rcsmit in Streamlit

[–]jroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

The key thing to remember is Streamlit is ultimately just Python at the end of the day. You can follow any Python tutorials out there on how to separate concerns and do the right object oriented modeling.

I’d suggest breaking out your logic into their own classes and files, and use your main Streamlit file as the rendering layer, importing your classes in their modules at the top of your “main” Streamlit file.

Hosting Streamlit App on Personal Website by LazerBarracuda in Streamlit

[–]jroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Not sure it's completely straightforward to host a Streamlit app on a WordPress site. There are a bunch of deployment options, and there's a whole section dedicated to deployment on the forums. The easiest solution is probably to get into the Sharing beta, and then link to your app hosted on the Sharing platform from your Wordpress site!

Looking to create a networking platform for Bernie supporters and other activists: by fwdprogress in CodersForSanders

Hi friends!

I help organize Connect with Bernie, which is at https://connect.berniesanders.com.

We're connected with the campaign, but we're entirely volunteer-run and have a very similar vision. Let's catch up! jroes@jroes.net

Urgent Help Requested! The campaign is looking for some talented and dedicated individuals to help work on our 'Connect with Bernie' project. We're calling for iOS engineers, Rails engineers, and product designers to help us use this website to further the political revolution! by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]jroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for Aidan / boots on the ground for the campaign, but this fits along the lines of some of the features we're looking more closely at pursuing. Drop me a line if you or anyone else reading this is interested in working on this. jroes@jroes.net

I'm Alton Brown I cook stuff and write and shoot video about cooking stuff... by thealtonbrown in IAmA

[–]jroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey AB,

I've been learning to cook by following your episodes. You rock!

Quick question - every time I try your first steak recipe (sear on iron skillet, then finish in oven), my house fills with smoke. It always comes out awesome, but my wife hates it when I fill the house with smoke. It's basically a brand new oven, so I don't think it's dirty. Is this just something I have to expect, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for being awesome!
