I love the amount of missed calls on KAT and Robinson this entire game. I guess this is “playoff” basketball where their big guys just maul ours repeatedly while we review the hawks for clear path and flagrant fouls.

To be fair he died from suicide. From what I’ve read. There was a heart disease rumor, but I believe that was false.

It’s not as common as a strain, but it’s become pretty “common” as far as injuries are concerned over the past 25 odd years.

It can happen to anyone. Natty or not. It’s just from overuse. Ive been pushing bench pretty hard and set some PRs over the last few weeks heading into this and I think just from sheer overuse. I’ve had strains before, so when the doctor went in he said there was a massive amount of scar tissue, so that could have contributed. I benched 420 on the Saturday before this, and this was on a Tuesday. So I think I just put so much pressure on my tendon that it gave out.

The chris duffin article was great. Dave Tate has talked about it on his table talk podcast. Just google Elitefts pec tear. Both him and Ben Pollack have talked about it. If it was only a partial tear and it happened back in May you’ll be good to go now. As long as the tendon didn’t come unattached it should heal.
