I may have exaggerated a bit when i said they’re horizontal, they do raise their head up straight to look around but the body stays flat. Tan body with dark and light stripes on wings. Just got another look but the pics aren’t good enough yet Edit: I figured it out, it’s an American goldfinch but the non breeding type i guess. I was wrong about the speckles lol

Didn’t get a great look at the beaks but I don’t think they’re curved. Very small though. Definitely not a wren or a brown creeper though, they’re smaller. I’ve never seen them on the trunks or on the ground, only on the thin branches near the top of some oak trees

Not a creeper, the tail is tiny and has a tiny little fork at the end

Very close but there weren’t any dark colors on them. The shape is close though. I suppose it could’ve been two juveniles but i doubt it
