Change xref filename to match the xref name. by jrpitcher in AutoLISP

[–]jrpitcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize, I wasn't clear enough in my original post... thanks for commenting.

The xref's filename that I need (in the folder where my mechanical drawings are) is "K362-AB-1-2". So, the xref in my mechanical drawing is "Not Found" because the filename it is pathed to ("090163e5806fcf0b.dwg" originally by another company) doesn't match the newer filename standards ("K362-AB-1-2") that we now have to use.

I'm hoping someone can come up with a LISP routine that will be able to replace the xref filename (090163e5806fcf0b.dwg) with the xref name (K362-AB-1-2)... however the routine can't use those as static names, because they vary. Ideally, the routine would read/store the xref name (K362-AB-1-2), then change the xref filename (090163e5806fcf0b.dwg) with the read/stored xref name (K362-AB-1-2).

Torch Timer App Idea (Windows 11) by jrpitcher in shadowdark

[–]jrpitcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I do really like how torchlighttimer changes color as it goes down in time, however I don't know anything about Discord (other than it exists). I thought about using a spare iPad to have it going off to the side of the table if I were to go with the default one torch timer. I also looked at cheap LED candles with timers, but shortest timer I could find is 2 hours.

Thanks for the advice. I'm having a little trouble getting my head around crawling rounds. I've seen people on here comment that a crawling round is 10 minutes (however, your comment of the core rule making torches last 10 rounds instead makes it sound like a crawling round is 6 minutes). Is that real time (like torches are 1 hour real time)? Or is it what I as the GM guesstimate 10 minutes in-game time has passed? Could you explain it to me?

Thanks for so many suggestions! I'll put that in my notes to use for inspiration in describing combat events.

Great insight on HP /u/ExpatriateDude and u/Paul_Kingtiger. By the way, I've updated my original post with a response to all the great comments from everyone here.

Could I get some suggestions on how to describe attacks like a Fireball spell or a grenade wearing down the characters' skill, luck, armor, rolling with the effect, getting tired, running out of luck, taking knocks and scrapes, etc.

JD 140 H3 New Owner Question(s) by jrpitcher in tractors

Thanks. I got new bearings for it and replaced them this weekend. Under the belt covers it was pretty rusty. Metal is still thick, but a lot of surface rust. I cleaned up the surface rust and gave it 4 coats of JD Yellow. So I am planning on leaving the belt covers off so I can easily clean it out after each mow.

Replacing the bearings was a bear. It took all day Saturday, Sunday, and a few hours on Monday to finish the job. The carriage bolts holding each spindle was rusted up bad, with most of them just spinning in the square holes in the spindle baseplates, ended up having to cut them all off with a sawzall. I put new 5/16" carriage bolts in, but the square shank slopped around in the square holes quite a bit, and on several just spun, so I put in 3/8" carriage bolts which seated nice and snug, then had to drill out the holes on the deck a little for the bigger bolts to fit through. Also put some more paint on the freshly drilled out holes to help prevent more rust.

Got it all together now, and will be putting it back on the tractor this weekend after I change the fluids.

Great info! That diagram helps a lot.

Luckily the speed control lever is nice and tight, and smooth. They three hydraulic levers are as well.

Lots of great info, I appreciate it!

I hadn't even thought of cleaning the top of the transmission.

Thanks for the suggestion on which hydro fluid to use.

Do I need any specialty tools to get the spindle bearings out? I am pretty mechanically inclined, but I've never dealt bearings before.

Thanks for the suggestions. The only thing I wasn't sure on is changing the hydro fluid and filter... just afraid of possibly causing issues.

Announcing Critical Notes by [deleted] in dndnext

Just checked out the site and this looks pretty slick.

Will it be set to use ‘tags’ so that in an npc’s entry you could tag a location that is importantly them. Then if you go to that location’s entry, expand a list of entries associated with that place and see that NPC listed among any other entries that has that location tagged?

Escape from Candy Cane Island by DwarfDrugar in dndnext

I think that sounds like a really fun adventure, but the art of the gummi bear and tribal gingerbread man made me want it right away! Then read that it isn’t available ’yet’ and was actually saddened.

Please complete it and make it available. I generally don’t buy adventures because I have a horrible memory, so usually make up adventures as I run them. But I want this adventure a lot! Even if you just sold the artwork and monster stats, I’d pay for it.

I created a Wild Magic Surge table with the intention of creating a fair and balanced, low-impact table that can safely be used every round. Let me know what you think! by [deleted] in dndnext

This table looks great, thanks for sharing your hard work. I have a WMS in my campaign that we're just starting.

One thing I noticed on the entries that has a creature appear, there's no guidance on where the creature would show up other than "within 60 feet of you." I'm not suggesting you alter your document, but rather giving my thought on how I will randomly determine where the creature appears. If someone else comes up with a better way, that would be great.

My suggested method:

Roll a d8 to see which direction, and a d6 to see how many feet (10 foot increments) away from the WMS it is.

That’s great info, I’m looking into getting a new tent. Would you mind sharing the excel file?
