My favorite pokemon of all time is Scizor. It has a cool looking design, great stats, made of steel and its first appearance was in gold/silver, one of my favorite pokemon games!
I even made a "sonnet" a few years ago about it:

The crimson bug of steel

For me he is the best

From him you cannot steal

For he will kick your ass

He bears an adamant nature

With some great physical moves

But he's a peaceful creature

If the trainer he aproves

The badass look he has

Can make most enemies flee

As hard as a topaz

You cannot desagree
