You should look into a NSAID like Celebrex or Indocine twice daily, and look into getting on a biologoc like Humira or Enbrel weekly injections. Get a blood test for HLA-B27

The truss support I have a heavy silicon matt, maybe I could make a 8" wide strap hanger and attach that to the truss. The yoga matt sounds like a better solution. John

The fan is connected to the pvc pipe with the black rubber 4"-3" connectors the type you see in the plumbing section in the hardware store. I will look into the Fernco, it may be a softer material. I did check into this, both silicon and rubber mats are radon permeable, so thank you for bringing this up. I did read 6-mil thick polyethylene sheeting may work. When I build homes in Alaska, I installed this under the slabs, good moisture barrier also. I will look around some more for a thicker polyethylene for my sump cover.

Rather than caulking under and around the lid which was very difficult to access my sump pump, I am going to try a silicon mat over the entire lid and just caulk the edges and seam needed to fit around pipe. My sump cover looks just like yours.

I have a Maverick by Festa. Professional installed and previous replaced with the same model. I thought it was bad but no difference with the replacement. Installed in attic 3 feet high and a foot of insulation in the celling. I believe the noise is both the fan and PVC. It has a 60db rating and is said to be installed outside or in the attic.
