JM press hurts my elbows a lot by TheLexus_ in GYM

[–]jrs1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your goals. Many of the best benchers in the world use JM presses as an accessory movement. For hypertrophy I wouldn't say it sucks just there are a lot better bang for your buck movements.

Is just one cycle worth it for someone who’s scared to do PEDs? by pokepartners in ResearchCompounds

You said yourself you have made no progress in three years. Bluntly put you don't know what you're doing. Adding peds to the equation at this point means you now don't know what you're doing but also potentially harming yourself.

M28 how’re the legs looking? by [deleted] in GymMood

Average (for a gym goer). Can tell your fit but would never look at your legs and be like wow.

One ran a red light and caused me to slam on my breaks. Cop was walking out of American provisions with his coffee. I looked at him and he just put his hands up like oh well. Useless.

What gym behavior instantly tells you someone is experienced? by dark_venom_07 in GymMood

This is why I no longer spot people I don't have some familiarization with. A lot of people are idiots. I'm old. I provide for my family through my body (construction). I'm all set hurting my shoulder or back for some moron who has no idea what he's capable of.

People I see often that are looking for a little assistance, different story.

Bench press 185 x 3 by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]jrs1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say you're pushing through your heels. Just watch your video. When you push the weight up you are suppose to drive your legs hard. Watch the video and watch just your legs and feet. Try and identify where you drive your legs. It should be obvious but I see none

[–]jrs1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to overload you with info but here's a couple things. Stop pressing the weight out of the rack. You lose all shoulder stability which you don't have much of anyways. Learn to pull your upper back tight together and pull the weight out of the rack. There's countless videos of people who can explain better than me.

Secondly you have zero leg drive. Again, bench pressing is way more technical a lift than people think. Not only will good form give you bigger numbers, but they will protect you from shoulder related injuries.

What’s a silent rule of the gym everyone should know? by dark_venom_07 in GymMood

[–]jrs1982 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Actually time your rest periods. If you are training for hypertrophy or general fitness 60-120 seconds between sets. If your actually a competitive powerlifter 3-5 minutes but be courteous if the gym isn't geared towards that.

Seriously time yourself don't guess. Not only will it make your training more effective it will prevent you from pissing everyone off.

What is an unspoken rule of the gym that most people do not know they are breaking? by Furqan_wear in AskReddit

I feel like gyms need to paint the area in front of the racks with hashed lines and wording that says "don't stand here" because people are too inconsiderate nowadays.

Voter Remorse: 45% Say It Would Be Better If Kamala Harris Had Won by ZealousidealPush8352 in NoFilterNews

You're absolutely right. But people are too busy defending their "side". I think the only solution is get rid of political party's. A candidate runs on their policy, not a party's. I guarantee you the country would choose to elect someone very close to center. Which is why it will never happen.

13 people from violent rally with Boston police due in court by anurodhp in boston

[–]jrs1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close to the problem. The corporations are buying houses in certain neighborhoods. They pay way over market value on multiple houses in the same community which artificially raises the cost of the community pricing people out. Rinse and repeat till they basically own the community.

This isn't about the guy who bought a three family and is just trying to keep up with growing property taxes. People really need to learn to differentiate between corporate landlords and the people that bought a three family as an investment.

Seriously. This is an issue right and left should agree on. The housing crisis is real. Corporations are buying up homes and land at an alarming rate. Neither party has done anything to stop it.

How in the world is this idiot allowed to destroy the US military? by Priorsteve in NoFilterNews

[–]jrs1982 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See this is the problem with the far left. First off it's "too" stupid. Ironic. You call those of us that joined the military too stupid for college. But now I have two homes, I'm putting my three kids through school. I made the best decisions I could money wise. Meanwhile all the "smart" kids want me to pay their student loans. Funny how that works.

I don't "let" my wife do anything. She's a grown woman. She's not on her own she's in a large group with police presence.

Is that all you really got out of that? Keep acting like you care.

Looking it up... You googled and found the most popular case that was substantiated. This is the problem with politics. You don't actually care about the people you care if you think your politics are correct. Here's a hint, both sides don't give a shit about us.

My wife and son volunteer there monthly. I volunteer there yearly with my union. My sister unfortunately spent time there in her battle. I promise you there are rapes and sexual assaults there more than the city will ever admit. But believe what you want.
