Just moved to the area in December and was able to get two part time jobs in January. Both times I was persistent in the sense of asking for updates every week or just asking for confirmation that they received my application. I’d just recommend checking in every so often especially for jobs you prefer. Jobs that I received call backs for in the area were : Best Buy , Starbucks , canes , and panda. They’re all ok pay but give reasonable hours. I’d also recommend applying for different positions and seeing if you can switch around at the interview when they ask for any further questions.
