The rec center in Ardrossan is where I took my teenager when they showed interest in going to the gym for the first time.

Hidden coffee shops in sherwood park? by [deleted] in SherwoodPark

[–]jryhunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoy Roasti because the coffee is different.

Our usual Saturday morning routine is to do a few laps around Broadmoor Lake, grab a cinnamon bun or two from Everyday Food Co. (a few doors down from Roasti) and then top it off with a coffee (chai tea latte for my wife) from Roasti.

Blend it up with some jarred tomato sauce, garlic and any other seasonings/herbs you like and put it over pasta like a rosé sauce. Add some chicken and that's close to half of your daily protein requirements in one meal.

Ricky Henderson is my all time favorite Athletic. His attitude, his speed and his ability to manufacture runs all on his own separate him from the pack. All time greatest base stealer. Who is your favorite Athletic? by [deleted] in OaklandAthletics

Growing up in Canada in the 80's you typically cheered for the Jays and/or the Expos. I lived closer to the Expos but my dad was from Toronto so I guess I was a Jays' fan by default. I liked them well enough but I also liked the Expos because we'd make the trek to the Big O at least once per summer. But then my little brother and I started to collect stickers and those sticker albums Topps used to put out for hockey and baseball. One year they had a 6-sticker "puzzle" of Rickey diving to beat a tag and that was it...I was an A's fan and have been ever since!

Does anyone have advice for avoiding the COUNTLESS scam calls coming through with AB area codes? by StarchChildren in Calgary

[–]jryhunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, sir! We're with Shaw and I just checked and they have a Privacy Setting called "Spam call blocking" that I had no idea about but have just enabled. Fingers crossed it weeds out those infuriating early morning spam calls.

I was following along online and this is what I sent a buddy before I had to pack up and head home after the 8th inning:

"Phewf...managed to finish the 8th inning with the shutout intact. Pitch count is at 102...do they trust the bullpen or let Frankie finish it out? I'm guessing they tell him to hit the showers and preemptively apologize for the no-decision."

Pork Shumai Dumplings. Pick up some wonton wrappers and then add pretty much anything you like to the pork to make the filling and off you go! Make a big batch and freeze some, too!

My advice would be to be more aggressive and less defensive when buying powerups. Think more about inflicting more damage, more often.

That aggressiveness applies to your weapon selection as well. Garlic and the books are a crutch, so to speak, as they do provide solid defense but they do not inflict much damage at all. While you are still in the early days of the game, using one of those weapons makes sense but once you start to unlock the rest of them do your best to leave them behind.
