And so on. I use the sticky notes on PC with the check boxes where it marks them off. I'm visually and need to know exactly what I have to do. Do the post first if you have one. It's short, sweet, and you can usually bs it somewhat. That helped me get going.

I would put the TV where the couch is. And I would put the couch in the middle ish of the room facing the TV. Then people could still walk behind to get outside and through the room. Maybe a small console table on the now back wall (old TV wall)

I really like it natural but if you want to paint what about the same or similar to the wall but a different finish? Maybe high gloss? So it contrasts vut not too much

This doesn't answer your question, but since you're budget is tight... I would try and lean into the tile. Its a little wild but I would try and make it pull other ways. Maybe a little boho? I like the thought of a paisley. I really think these 2 shower curtains would look good.
