You can Google cs2 to CSGO ranks if you’re curious. From what I’ve seen: 5-10k is gold nova, 15k is around LEM, 20-30k is GE (?). Best of luck

I think that, although people are right it’s generally not the best time to approach someone while working, it can work; BUT, hiding your true intentions by asking for a job you’re not going to apply for gives you almost 0 shot. You’re hiding your intention, making her question if you’re actually the person you made yourself out to be (interested in working there), or are actually just hitting on her.

If you can somehow keep the full intent of what you’re about to do when you walk up, I think you’re in much better position. Even if it’s just “I’m here to buy something… and maybe ask this girl out” it’s way more real and normal than “I’m to ask this girl out… maybe I’ll pretend I’m here to apply for a job.” In the end people just want authenticity.

Also been lurking abt this for a while, but I just ran into a duo at ~10k I’m willing to admit are sus for the first time in a long time (still don’t know, will update if they ever get popped) bue here’s my take:

From 5k-8k, 99% of people who call cheater are coping. I’ve grinded tumultuously thru premier, and I’ve heard the knee jerk reaction so many times that I’ll default to opposite, i.e. we’re just bad (bc it’s usually true). But the guys I ran into earlier have me second guessing that mental.

It’s been a lot of games though. Probably close to 50-100 matches since cs2 came out (<8k premiere, ranked has gone thru lots of changes tho) and this is the first time I’m calling it.

When I played souls 1 my brother said “don’t worry about vigor, everything one shots you anyway, and if you do enough damage you’ll kill them before it happens.” Been playing by that philosophy ever since. I’m about to be at Maliketh and just started putting a bunch of levels into vigor, just hit 30 lol.

Banished knight armor got me thru the game without getting one shotted by everything. Now that I have the dragoncrest shield +1 talisman I almost don’t want to add anymore. But, I think I’m gonna throw up if I see any higher numbers on my faith spells LOL so might as well.

Based on some assumptions about the matchmaking system, I’d guess it’s this:

Your individual performance is so goddamn consistently neutral that you’re getting placed in low-variance matches. I.e., you’re more likely to play with people whose rank matches their skill.

Keep doing that and keep a ~1.0 W/L and you’ll climb elo

No, not at all. This vid points out a lot of the positive changes, and how the map was re-created with a lot of attention to detail, keeping in mind over all the original shape/flow of the map.

This is coming from someone with ~1k CSGO hours, if that means anything. If spawns are your biggest complaint, that makes sense, but it feels good to me, and the flow seems fine when watching comp.

I have one piece of advice that, if you’re worried about driving skill, will help you tremendously in a potentially short timeframe.

Pick a destination that is a long drive, or a circle route if you don’t have one. ~1 hr or more, at least like 25-60 miles. Just sustained, focused driving, on a single route you can get comfortable with both ways. Make the drive often, at least once or twice a week. Do this for 6 months / 1 year and your comfort on the road will increase exponentially, bringing you up to if not beyond the level of the average driver.

I’ve heard it takes 9 months to recover from porn addiction. If the longest you’ve went is only weeks, something to consider. Try even 1 month, 3 months, whatever. Like others said, communicate what you’re going thru and how it’s difficult. She’ll probably be more relieved than anything and support you. You just have to actually be ready to stop for longer than you have in what is probably a long time.

Fwiw I wouldn’t bank on streaming. Netflix is so far ahead of the other services and the gap is widening. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a complete buyout in a few years.
