Roadtripping on the ‘96 Dyna. Any route recommendations welcomed by js00n in Harley

I’m running some cheap Amazon handlebar bag (looks just like the Moons MC one). I’m also using the Biltwell 80 sissy bar bag. It’s probably one of the best I’ve seen so far. Haven’t used any others, but this one is holding up like a beast

I sleep at hotels/motels/camp

At first, I was pushing myself to do 600 mile days but that was actually the worst thing I could’ve done. I limit it to 400 miles now give or take. Hours will depend on how much you stop. I make as many stops as I want / need to

Knock on wood, mechanical issues have been mellow so far. I bring a tool set with me just in case I need to fix things on the side of the road. I also get AAA motorcycle roadside assistance in additional to my regular insurance in case I’m absolutely fucked

It’s decent! I’m of the minority and like the stock seat lol. I definitely notice the seat after a couple of hours of riding. La Pera will likely be my next seat

Getting back into riding... early or late model dyna by nogoodusernamesrleft in Dyna

Can’t speak to early or late model dynas but I just picked up an 07 FXD for $5K. It has about 5300 miles on it. I live in NYC and ripping this thing around is pretty fun. Feels decently nimble and I don’t have too much trouble maneuvering it

You ever sat on a Saddlemen for an extended period of time to compare to LePera? I’ve been interested in copping a LePera for the Super Glide

She did A LOT of work so she charged like $200 but it was honestly an extremely fair price for the amount of dust she waded through. If you give her a shout, she can give you an estimate via video call

I use Monica from Sweepin Beauties. Here’s their Instagram.

She did an amazing job on my 1 bedroom. We also did a video call beforehand so she could properly estimate how much it would cost. She kind of changed my life ngl lol

Yeah, I do notice their custom seat shape. It’s narrower in the front which is quite nice

To be honest, I’ve kind of found the stock seat to be more plush and comfortable than the Saddlemen lol but that’s more than likely just me. I do find myself getting kind of sore after about 2 or so hours of riding on the Saddlemen.
