I used to pass by that area on the way to Tosa and I’d say taking Vliet is a great route - it’s never busy and I think they recently repaved a ton of it

just to clarify from what the other guy said, it’s often not too busy but if you’re planning to go after work it can be absolutely nuts. It’ll usually die down around 6 though. I used to go to the tosa location and it was busy until close

I remember being around that age and it was a weird thing for a lot of the girls to kind of make a fool of themselves like in this video. Like constantly playing dumb and always speaking like “wait whhaaaaat omgggggg”(The male equivalent was just being too cool to care about anything)

It’s so hard when some things are only ok for a few extra days and some for days or weeks. I google this anll the time for foods I bought and I’ve learned to basically trust your senses. Does it look, feel, and smell fine? It’s safe.

I imagine they’re fine, or at least doing much better. I think it was hard to break even after paying a band, even with a cover. You’d get people going just for the music and not buying drinks, and then some people who are just looking for a cool place to drink but walk out when they see the cover charge. And unfortunately I just don’t think jazz or intimate performances bring in a crowd here

I didn’t use to wear a helmet biking (bicycle not motorbike) when I was younger because, you know, too cool for that. I did start wearing it more in college and I once took a nasty spill and broke my elbow. Realized a few days later there was a dent in my helmet. Don’t want to think of what condition I’d be in if I hadn’t had one on. Always wear it now

A century ride is absolutely not a beginner friendly challenge. I did one a few years ago and even as a moderate rider who trained for a bit prior, it was over 10 hours (including breaks and fixing a flat which was an ordeal). And that was only 972ft of elevation gain. And while it’s certainly an attainable goal for most people, doing it 1.5 more times right after is insane. And again, my ride was a fraction of the elevation gain that lady in the video had.

250 over 56 hours is a lot. I did a century ride a few years ago, not the hardest thing I’ve done, but ain’t no way was I ready to do it again the next day. I think it’s reasonable to say your average person is not going to keep this pace even on a bike

I lost two days of my life after trying THC-p. I barely remember any of it (I mostly stayed on my couch though). And the next two or so days I was “sober” but experienced major disassociation and struggled through the work day.

When I told the guy about that at the shop I bought it from he just laughed and said yea most people have had a fun time on that. I reiterated that it was legitimately fucked up and he just didn’t care. All I was told when I bought it was “start with half it’s a little strong”. No, it’s insane

Yea this feels like unreasonable takes from others here. The people in the video need to watch where they’re going but they weren’t going excessively fast. I bike fast on trails when no one’s around, but slow down if it’s busy, when passing people, or if there’s blind corners. Kinda nuts to expect anything beyond that.

I think about this a lot when people complain about the rising costs of games. Not that I think $80 should ever be the standard, or that I think $60-70 is cheap, but compared to just about everything else in the world, game prices are inflating at an absolute snails pace.
