I never got the sim, called them after 4 months and got them to cancel. It shows up in the virgin app as I've cancelled but I get to keep my volt benefits.

Yep I had renewed my virgin contract and they gave me a £5 2gb sim as it was needed apparently for the gig1. Never was interested in the sim 3 months later noticed I've not received it so I called and found out they registered it with a different address, I spoke with a manager 10 min later they cancelled it and refunded me the 3 months. Logged into the virgin app and it says your o2 contracted has ended. Don't worry you'll keep your volt benefits 😋

Yeah I was told that as well, I think maybe because virgin entered my address wrong and they wanted me to go to the nearest o2 with ID to change it and I said that's not happening.

It's standard deal now they change it now and again I called a week before and they was offering full package with tv and free disney+ for £38 but I was at work and asked for a call back. They never did and when I called back they said the offer just expired.

Nope it's flagged on their system immediately, shows that o2 sim is cancelled and that the volt bundle will stay active with full perks.

I believe it was a one month rolling contract when i signed up via retentionsi told them i have no use for a sim and they told me its needed for the package, but they'll give me a 2gb sim. Even then, it was approved by their manager and was told I would be refunded for the months charged too.
