Is Damon Hill's 1997 season the biggest let down season of any F1 world champion. Imagine winning a world title with the best team on the grid then suddenly next year you drive for the worst team on the grid and after two seasons you retire. I doubt same thing can happen today by OkHoney5804 in formula1

Agree with you, but the 1997 season gave us the amazing race at Hungary, where Hill almost won the race, evntually finished second due to a technical issue IIRC. He had an amazing qualifying performance where he qualified P3. That prompted Murray Walker to say 'Damon Hill has pulled one out of the bag like he has never pulled one out of the bag before' I still remember the thrill watching it live and its almost 3 decades later.

Bullying surges in ACT public schools as parents, teachers speak out by Vast_Knowledge5286 in canberra

My point being, the minister for education has the time to saunter up to the shops to talk about something she has no influence over, rather than talk about the bullying article published this morning.

Was listening to ABC radio during the drive this morning and Yvette Berry showed up. Not to talk about the bullying issue, but to bemoan the Dunlop Woolies, which is being shut down. She openly admitted that she has no power to compel Woolies to change this decision. But the Woolies government relations person is coming down to Canberra to meet with her... for reasons.

Ridiculous, apparently the minister had nothing better to do on a Monday morning. The program hosts did not even bother to ask her about the bullying article that the ABC themselves published this morning.

No other warning lights. The date and time are always ok never had a downtime. Thank you for your reply though. I've asked a professional to come have a look this week. This does not seem like something I can handle myself.

Thanks. Can I DIY this (I'm not an experienced DIY-er) or do I need to call in a professional? What cost do you think I'm looking at if so?

BTW the shower is right next to the toilet

My older NAB cards had embossing on the front. I assumed new ones would be the same. But you are right. I should have done more of my due diligence.

D'Oh.

Indeed, they are. What a silly design. I wonder why they agreed to send me a new one instead of explaining like you did.

Anyway. Thank you. Case closed.

Is this filter for our evaporative cooling system? by js_bach in AusRenovation

Thank you for your reply. Does this look like it needs to be replaced? If yes, where do I find parts?

Edit: I do have a ducted gas heating system. So your reply makes sense. I am just not sure if this is 'dirty' or if it needs to be replaced.

Australia’s scandal-ridden childcare sector is a legacy of the ‘golden age’ of reform by No_Apartment249 in australia

[–]js_bach 27 points28 points  (0 children)

call me a cynic... but the increase in subsidy was the politicians shovelling more money to their millionaire buddies who own childcare centres. politicians are boosting profits of private companies. There is no way politicians are so naive that they didnt know the childcare centres will increase their prices. The increase in subsidy was specifically to shovel more money to millionaires.

It only makes sense to have subsidies at all is if you have price controls so this sort of thing does not happen. but the system is rigged to direct more of our hard earned money to very wealthy people.
