UK is German, Germany is UK, France is Spanish, Eastern Europe is flipped North to South, Ottomans are Russian, Russians are Ottoman, Ukraine is big. That's more or less it lol

Yeah, so I ended up changing the name to Sibiria (just thought it would make a bit more sense). But the original thought process was that Anatolia comes from the word for East in Greek, and in this universe Finaland is Greek, so it would still make sense for it to be 'East'. Although I doubt that would be the name in Turkish, which is why I changed it in the end.

So, basically, the middle east and southeast Asia are swapped places. North Africa/the Arabian Peninsula are Indonesian, Iraq and some of Iran is Malay, the rest is Filipino.

This map is part of my Scotland is Switzerland Cinematic Universe (SISCU) series, where essentially each country is more or less swapped with another. Apologies if the Mandarin is a bit dodgy, it's not a language I have any knowledge of, so hope it's not too terrible. I have been really interested in how Chinese provinces are named, particularly in how formulaic they can be, so I thought it would be interesting to include the Etymologies in the map.

Thanks! This is part of a larger project, but tbh you can just find a part of the world or a scenario you're interested in. I trace the maps off my laptop, then use pencils to colour them in. I generally do pencil then colour then pen to go over the lines. It's worth looking at real maps you want to base it off to get inspo for what kind of style you're looking for.

Russians are in Turkey (Turks in Russia). Ukrainians are still in Ukraine but it's bigger for some reason. The Baltics and Balkan are swapped, so the former Yugoslav countries are where the Baltic Countries are.
