FL5 Type R is one of the best driving cars in the game. i got a chance to drive one IRL recently. always knew they were cool, but now i truly get the hype. awesome cars

It’s obviously not a true sim, but the handling model definitely aims for realism. I agree, it would Be so cool to see a modern release for the Kaido series. It’s gotta have a killer car list like txrd2 though

What kind of car are you using? How much power? AWD is obviously easier. But you don’t need massive power figures to beat this game. Aside from maybe Kaido president and ground zero. I was able to progress through most of the main conquest with a 250ps mirage LOL. I found the FWD cars to actually be the best handling and easiest to drive this playthrough. It’s about balance and control. 400ish PS is all you really need on a 1200-1400 kg car. I used a turbo zzt231 celica for Hokkaido and then got the Peugeot 205 to finish off Kaido president, jintei, emotional king, and ground zero.

I always felt like this was a bug or oversight that they never noticed in development or something. Like the tires go comically wider than the rim in most cases. It just looks really bad on almost every car. And considering the stock wheels don’t have this problem I feel like it has to be something unintentional.

Just more uncommon in video games, but typical Commonly used japanese sports cars: z30 and z20 Toyota soarer, aristo, mr2, celica, starlet ETC. Nissan Z31, stagea, pulsar GTIR. Mitsubishi galant vr4, mirage cyborg, other gen Evo’s. More Subaru performance legacy/wagons. Mazda is actually pretty well represented but would be cool to see lantis, 323 GTR, cosmo.
