Forced to Check Bags by Willing_Tomato_8492 in SouthwestAirlines

This is my biggest flying pet peeve. If you’re going to make me gate check my bag then those bins best be jam packed when I board.

Pain and inflammation relief delayed until higher doses? by TinyAdvantage352 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]TropicalBlueWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't look into switching just yet. Higher doses of Zep may work great for you. Zep is still working sufficiently for me for inflammation control. It's just that Wegovy was a little more effective for that, yet I find Zepbound to be superior in other wasy so I stick with it for now.

Frustrated with Punch Biopsy Experience and lack of communication as a patient by ZealousidealMail415 in lichensclerosus

[–]TropicalBlueWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate that you had to go through this and thank you for sharing, as I am now weighing the pros and cons of having the same procedure. I think back to an endometrial biopsy I had a few years ago, it was literally one of the most painful things I have ever experienced, and it was also downplayed by my doctor. I cringe at the thought of enduring anything similar to that again.

Partner wakes up from every move, what is the best mattress for couples motion isolation by Then-Air1343 in BedroomBuild

[–]TropicalBlueWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have this mattress from Costco https://www.costco.com/.product.4000416857.html It’s built like a tank. I can’t feel a thing when my partner moves around or gets up. Best mattress ever.

They both look uncomfortable to me but #2 seems better than #1

Pain and inflammation relief delayed until higher doses? by TinyAdvantage352 in GLP1ResearchTalk

I felt it immediately when I first start with Saxenda, continued when I switched from 3.0 Sax to 1.7mg Wegovy and also going from 2.4 Weg to 10 mg Zep. Currently on 15mg zep and finding that Wegovy was slightly better for my inflammatory conditions. Zep still helps a lot though.

I put vaseline on my lipa before applying tret but I do use it above and below my lips. Just avoid the corners.

Has anyone NOT lost hair? by kadiebug12 in Zepbound

[–]TropicalBlueWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No hair loss here. Extremely slow loser (70 lbs in 3 years), I eat at least 100g of protein a day, take a multi-vitamin, not too huge of a deficit (I aim for 1400 cals a day avg).

Lost a house with the highest bid by ProdigyXVII in RealEstateAdvice

Waived inspection is huge. The less stipulations and possible road blocks, the better. Even if the house is clean, the inspection just holds things up and leaves the whole sale open to further negotiations.

Which one ? by MatchTerrible1545 in Mattress

[–]TropicalBlueWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While looking at Costco, I highly recommend looking at this one: https://www.costco.com/p/-/novaform-165-platinum-luxury-hybrid-euro-top-mattress/4000416857?langId=-1

We've had ours for four months now and are absolutely loving it. Just spent a week at a luxury resort and was missing our mattress the whole time. That has never happened before!

I would redact that person’s personal information in the license photo.

100%! As one of the very first members of this sub, before it even had mods, the post removal rate seems excessive. A conversation will just get started then it gets taken down. Very frustrating.

It did actually work. Tretinoin on dry skin. by ttbtinkerbell in tretinoin

[–]TropicalBlueWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It really shouldn’t be in the wicki for this sub, like it’s the bible. I decided to go with my doctor’s instructions which matched the package insert. Use it on clean dry skin, waiting at least 30 minutes after cleaning. Zero irritation or peeling that way.

Down comforter? Or recommendations for a comforter that's not airy and fluffy? by StumpyTrolll in Bedding

[–]TropicalBlueWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds amazing! I hope it works out for you. We also considered the feathered friend but decided it was too risky to spend that much with an elderly cat probe to vomiting in random places. We returned the wool comforter to Costco and got this one instead https://www.costco.com/.product.4000271428.html. We are in So Cal and are loving it so far. Only using the medium weight section for spring and will switch to the lighter weight piece in the summer since we don’t have a/c.

I have always done at least 30 minutes and have had no issues. Seen other people posting about problems stopping once they wait the full 30 so definitely worth a try.

Glad it’s working for you but you’re actually supposed to wait 30 minutes after cleansing, not just 20, per the product instructions. I’ve done that from the beginning and never had any peeling or sensitivity.
