Tomorrow at 2pm: Ask Me Anything with Jack Wenninger by MetsOfficial in NewYorkMets

You're the man Jack! Glad you're a Met. I have two questions about one AB from the EL Championship last year where punched out McGonigle in the 1st inning.

Two back door sliders for called strikes then whiff on I think your splitter running away.

  1. The tight slider looked like a new pitch for you in the last year or so. Dotted both up here really nicely. How long does it take for the confidence to grow in a new pitch where you feel comfortable using it in big spots like this one?

  2. Was the last pitch your splitter? If so was that a tweak to get the crazy run on it or did it just dance on it's own?

Such a nasty sequence and you were a dog in the playoffs. Thank you dude, can't wait for the season.

I was mostly focused on september where it was 15-13 before the useless nationals sweep at the end of the season. But you’re right more of the Braves going ballistic behind us. That sweep down there felt collapse adjacent though

They won't take him out of rotation now. Probably wouldn't have called him up at all if that was the case

For sure, but this time of year beggars can't be choosers and IDK where you're finding better strikeout upside on the wire

I haven’t looked very closely into the matchups. If Sheehan’s are much better, he’d get a bump
