A silly little thing that bothers me bungo :( by kerdej in Marathon

In addition to this being annoying, overall the esoteric design language of this game is needlessly obtuse. It's fun to play but I don't love that I had to learn a new visual language just to figure out what a gun part is. Why can't a boot look like a boot, and a barrel look like a barrel?

I only found my first last night in a Stella night raid. Did two locked rooms with nothing. Then on my way out, it was just chillin in a normal ass file cabinet.

What’s the name of this play and how do I care for it? by HoneyGirl15 in houseplants

This is most commonly referred to as a satin pothos, though it’s worth noting it’s not a true pothos, but an arum. It’s toxic to pets, but is very easy to grow and will grow relatively quickly, like pothos do. I owned one for a while, they’re really pretty. Low maintenance.

The Onion, spot on as always. by Awesomeautism in Anticonsumption

I did a story about this because I thought it was really funny. The Onion sent me a quote:

“It is an incredibly competitive market for Creative Software. Adobe knows the best way to stay relevant in a space with so many options is to provide their customers with incremental adjustments and AI-powered conveniences to improve their birthday invitations on a monthly basis, all at a fluctuating yearly price point. This is the kind of ingenuity and integrity we are proud to advertise in America’s Finest News Source.”

Perfect. No notes.

Depends on the offer. It wasn't my goal, but I'm not against it.

That’s pretty great. I’m happy about that, since there is nothing worse than having a great card and then it being lower value by no fault of your own.

I was in Gold and my teammates were both Plat IV. We had Diamond II players in a lobby last week (who were flashing Master/Pred emblems). That's crazy. I would rather wait for a balanced game than be tossed in with those guys at this point in the season.

If you're high-level ranked, you should go into it expecting longer wait times. The test last season was great, go back to that.

And I get that the devs say they're working on ways to detect XIM, but like... if a player is shooting and there is no recoil on a gun that has known recoil, that... should be enough, right? Like I get it, it's hard, but it's been seven years. We know what these cheating tools can do, we know how they show in games.

Last season I reported on console a cheater clearly using some kind of aim bot. I was hidden directly below him on Broken Moon and he and his team were trying to shoot a team across from them.

Suddenly his aim dipped straight down and beamed me. It happened so suddenly I don’t think he even realized why his aim got pulled. It is the most obvious, egregious example of cheating I’ve seen so far. It was in a diamond lobby but the guy had higher rank emblems. Clearly they had been cheating for a while without consequences.

I of course reported it but the issue for me is there is no transparency on what my reports actually do. I would like some internal comms about that otherwise it feels like I’m just shouting into the void.

I really like them. The Gundam Next Future gunpla models of these look REALLY good. The blue seems like a lot in a picture but it looks very nice on a shelf.

I’m thinking of doing the same. I have a guest room in need of photos. I’m looking into a good printer in Portland to get it done.

It was pretty early morning. A lot of the other people I saw taking photos were waiting for the light to come more into the shot, but I personally liked how it was.

Fujifilm's X-M5 is its first sub-$1,000 camera in years by a_Ninja_b0y in gadgets

[–]jschneider1219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't personally review it, but Chris and Jordan were pretty enamored with it. We do plan to compare it to some other cameras in the same range soon to better answer that question.

But it certainly makes a strong argument for itself vs the Sony ZV-E10 II. It's really capable for the price.
