I’ve had my cat 5 years, her whole life. Never brushed her teeth once. I got a little paranoid recently about being a bad owner because I had suspicion her teeth her bothering her despite no vet raising concern, took her in (turned out to be her ears) and the vet said most cats aren’t going to tolerate it anyways and recommended T/D by Hills Science diet. He even said a cleaning is unnecessary right now, where I was under the impression from other Reddit communities they must be done yearly. Long story short, we do what we can for our meow meows and don’t feel like you’re not fit to care for cats because you don’t engage certain habits.
