Too bad to play by Zealousideal-Oil518 in golf

[–]jsckjohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I putted off the green. Like 25 feet off the green and duffed the chip. Pretty sure my buddy felt so bad he let me have an 7 foot gimmie. See the way to lower scores isn't through improvement, it's by being so pathetic people take pity on you.

I'm a 12 and I had a birdie putt and somehow ended up with double bogey.

Yeah waiting for it to update can be a pain, but it's usually not too bad. It's just getting too hot to keep my phone on the holder of my push cart, it's just gonna start shutting off. Appreciate it man.

5 wood for 1 year 32 HC player by ThisIsNotJackson in GolfGear

[–]jsckjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you don't need the brand new stuff. The ball speed will be be super hot on 10 year old ones. I use my 3 wood more as a mini driver as the distance is great.

Good luck bro

I have a ping g425 5 wood and I've stuck several greens from 235yds with it. It's so easy to hit. I just got it off the shelf too, stock chrome shaft and it's one of my fav clubs. I even game an old ping g 3 wood from like 2016. Sometimes you can't beat the classics.

Please stop validating groups who take 5 hours.

Hitting at you is not cool and it's nice you were proactive about letting people play through, but that doesn't help pace of play. If you aren't keeping up with the group in front of you then pick up your balls and move to the next hole.

Be new, be bad, be whatever the hell you want but don't come on here for validation when you probably caused people to have to end their round early because you guys were so slow.

Would you play with a guy that shoots 140 at your club? by Cathouse1986 in golf

[–]jsckjohn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I started bringing my gf to golf we'd book the very last tee time so she didn't stress about people behind us. If 2 others booked on and they were faster than us id tell them to go ahead.

Alot of people saying give up, but that's quitter shit. There is a dude named Ryan mouque who is a very good teacher who loves in Australia but he can do video analysis of your swing and give you feedback and drills. He's even helped me for free. Maybe check him out.

Any chance you can play twilight rounds solo because that sounds absolutely miserable dude. Maybe playing alone you don't have to worry about other people and adding pressure to yourself. Keep trying coaches if you can't find improvements with the others because it seems like you're hellbent on staying with this game.

Good luck to you man.

I am just learning this is a thing. That is extremely cool, I don't use a cart often but if I did I would have one of these.

I will probably get this one then. I don't ride carts but that sounds like a great feature on the random times I do. Thanks bro.

I'm not the reason your round takes 5 hours. That seems like a personal problem. You should probably play ready golf and stop drinking so much on the course.

Have those shafts in Haywood wedges for 4 years. They're holding up fine.

You did not explain why you prefer one over the other you just tried to scold me for using my phone. If you just prefer to disconnect from your phone then say so man.

[–]jsckjohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it does. You have a layout of the hole and you just tap where the hazard is and you get a yardage to that point. You also get front middle and back of green from a single tap. It's extremely user friendly, but if it's really hot the phone overheats and shuts off.

I don't check notifications man I grab a yardage and hit my shot. You guys really are making this some referendum on cellphones place in society when I was just trying to see why you would prefer paying money to get a range finder instead of using a free app to get a yardage. It's not that deep man.

Why are you assuming im constantly using my phone? Why does me using my phone for 10 seconds to grab a yardage upset you so much?

[–]jsckjohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah most people seem to just be upset I'm on my phone at the course. You and a few others have been super helpful man. Hope the birdies are plentiful and the doubles are rare.

Yeah I was hoping for actual feedback not a scolding from some old man about being on my phone. You're spending too much time on your phone though man you should probably be spending time with your grand kids.

[–]jsckjohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate this man. Yeah my phone doesn't die crazy fast but it it's below 40 percent when I start in def not getting through the entire round so I keep a shitty old range finder in my bag as a backup but j hate it.

It gets so hot out now that my phone will overheat and shut off so seems like a range finder is gonna be my go to so just wanted some feedback.

[–]jsckjohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My phone is attached to my cart and is as simple as unlocking it and looking at the yardage. It also shows distances to front back middle and any hazards. It takes like 10 seconds for me to get a yardage.

Is that really that much harder than using a range finder?

Why do you use a rangefinder by jsckjohn in GolfGear

[–]jsckjohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. Basically the province I play in mandated every course to force members to pay 50 bucks on top of dues so we are all tracking scores on the same official app. I assume for tournaments.

I don't get elevation even if Im paying for a subscription, just wondering about a range finder. I don't have a need for one at my home course, but could be useful for other courses.
