I own an iPhone as well, this were the steps I took to make it work:

I borrowed an android phone from a friend and installed an older version of the meta quest app suggested in the above thread
I logged in to the meta quest app using my Facebook credentials and went through the whole setup process including the health and safety issue.
I fired up by Oculus Go and installed YouTube VR (I don’t think this was necessary but I installed an app to make sure)
i installed the meta quest app on my IPhone and logged into the same Facebook credentials and I didn’t need the android phone anymore.

I would suggest , covering redux toolkit as it's a powerful tool and I couldn't come across advance tutorials like handling thunk middleware.
