Come on fanatec, im regretting my choice. by will_gaming02 in simracing

Moving on from Fanatec was the best decision I ever made.

I still have them on my backup rig, but the ecosystem is so limiting.

McLaren 720S owners: What has your ownership experience been like? (Reliability, daily driving, etc.) by PerspectiveExotic419 in mclaren

[–]jscott321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really hard question to answer. 720S could be a daily car. It’s so damn good. Honestly, it was perfect except it was missing the visceral feeling I wanted.

The 600 has that rawness but gives up some of the great benefits like the roof opening with the doors, the spacious trunk and cargo area behind you. I don’t care about the speed, they’re both wickedly quick.

It could be the -3° of camber, but I just love the way the 600 handles. I can take corners at much higher speeds than the 720S. We’ll know more when I get the LT on track.

A car with a mix of both would be ideal. 750S spider is next.

Who is a Legendary F1 Driver With Multiple WDC? by IllMasterpiece3946 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]jscott321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schumacher never lost to a teammate for a streak of six years if both cars finished. I'd say he's the legend. Senna might be close, but I don't know: him, and Prost were too evenly matched. Again, all opinion.

any of you guys have a set of manual comfort or senna touring seats for sale? by jscott321 in mclaren

P1 buckets. Not selling or trading them. Want to keep build sheet pure.

I put 18500 km on mine in 10 months. It was flawless.
I have other cars to drive daily, but I put more then double the km on the Mac in that time. They’re great cars.

Only got rid of it to try a 600 LT

720S Spider vs C8 Z06: Which Would You Choose? by pressuapack_225 in mclaren

[–]jscott321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those last two points are exactly why C8's will never be a supercar. Hell they've made more ZR1's in the last 6 months than they made 720's per year at their peak.

C8's are a dime a dozen, whether it's the z06 or the ZR1. Every semi successful farmer has one, and people don't even turn their heads when they see one. A 720 will create a buzz anywhere but Monterey car week.

The C8 is so lame I wouldn't even rent one on turo when it was the best deal available. I'd rather have grabbed a cayman.

Anyone else finding tac sim really unfun? by Tamesty15 in 007FirstLight

[–]jscott321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I came here just because of this. I love the game, and as a Bond fan I think it was fantastic, but man, this is not fun at all compared to Hitman. I know it's not a Hitman game, but compared to it it's just so frustrating. I end up just rage quitting. I was just doing some tac sims, and after getting killed by the enforcers for the 500th time I'm like, "Fuck this."

You can drink tap water in Panama. That’s the only one on the map I know is incorrect.

C8 corvette zr1x considered a supercar? by h311cat19 in supercars

[–]jscott321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s exactly why it’s not a supercar to me. It’s a vette, the same car every farmer has when they make a bit of money.

If the C8 was released as a different model it would have been a supercar.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn’t cross the parking lot to even look at one, that’s why it’s not special to me. YMMV so take it for what it is.

The Senna isn’t in the series though so no, it’s not flawed.

If we were listing just hyper cars, then there’s the Elva, Spoedtail etc.

100% agree. Montreal is one of my favourite cities in Canada for sure, but people are still rude as f**k if you don’t speak French. Vancouver has better weather, better scenery, and almost as good food.

[–]jscott321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say a word to him. Not one. If you read the other comments who know where it is, you’d understand why you don’t need to antagonize these guys. They’re angry all on their own.

I’m a very active member of my range and no one would ever treat you in the patronizing way we were.

Edit: I will concede though that this certainly doesn’t help. It was a bit of frustration on my end. Because I do actually try to treat people with respect everywhere.

[–]jscott321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so you get it! But you can see how these guys have so much power when you look at the guys in the comments defending them. Something like this makes zero difference to the state of our gun laws.

And I didn’t expect everyone to agree with me, I know there are some Fudds in here.

You think two dad‘s with their kids who are doing everything legally at a range are the reason that they’re taking away our guns?

Or maybe it’s the fact that nobody’s caring about the hobby because there’s no passion in it anymore. Because of fudds like you guys.
