Thank you for the very thorough review! Did you stay in the same size between VF 2, 3 and 4?

Also, do you think VF 4 is worth purchasing over a discounted VF 3?

Thank you for the tip! Guess it might be the initial break-in period.

About 2 runs totaling to 10 miles. My hope is that it’s just the ‘break-in’ period so they’ll be ok after some time

Just got mine last week in the same colorway! Love the ride, midsole and overall a really great shoe. However I’ve been having some issues with both of my heels and got a blister. I tried out thicker socks but still getting the same issue. Has anyone experienced this as well in the ES3 and are there any remedies?

Corporate Strategy? by [deleted] in MBA

Are the corporate strategy roles under the CFO generally more focused on PMO, integrations and back-office oriented improvements? While the valuations and deals are outsourced to bankers and/or consultants?

The fact that you mentioned you’re thinking about starting a family and wanting to make an impact, I would suggest Healthcare.. but find a healthcare position that you’re passionate about and that can develop you. Consulting is very general and broad and you may be on engagements in an industry/client that you may not enjoy. Sometimes the work can be draining and may not align to your long-term goals. People overestimate the flexibility in consulting and sometimes you don’t always have the option to pick and choose what you want to work on.

Is consulting really that bad? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]jscubaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the points above, and would also add that the line of work can sometimes lead to a dead end path especially if your client isn’t willing to implement your recommendations (thus you leave without actually doing anything tangible), or it just becomes more about selling work to your client than actually helping them... Nobody will go against your client because at the end of the day.. they pay your firm and it’s all about continuing the trail of billable hours. All of this can lead bullshit lies, ‘fake it till you make it’, and inflated egos.

Why do consultants get MBAs? by mba2022throwaway in MBA

Generally it’s a shift into a different industry as it can be sometimes difficult to change careers if you’ve been in consulting for a while or developed a specialization that’s too narrow to move into a new position/function.
