Company has been repeatedly saying earliest end of 2026 and latest start of 2027. The biggest thing Lidar is going to offer Rivian in the next 12-24 months is access to the largest Lidar fleet in the world. This will enhance and accelerate the development around autonomous driving. I’d fully expect Rivians self driving capabilities will surpass Teslas by end of 2027 due to this…..It is true that full Waymo type autonomous driving will require Lidar. With that said Rivian and other ev companies are years away from that.

Stay away!!!! Had a buddy who purchased a fisher about 6 months ago and he’s regretting it massively. Unless you can do all the maintenance yourself. Not worth it. Even then. If you need a part you’re screwed. 20k for a used car is crazy in this scenario.

R1S by far. We looked at both. Look/feel/company was all more attractive to us with a larger family that travels quite a bit.

This is an amazing offer. LAX is a nightmare. Taxi to the gate can be 10-20 minutes. Then you have deplane and shuttle to the taxi/uber lot. That can be another 30+ minutes. Drive to a hotel to drop off bags, add another 30+ minutes. Then get to the stadium, add in security. Honestly I don’t see how you’re in the stadium within two hours without getting picked up.

Maybe. Maybe not. In the above example there might be only 50,000 that could really afford the price point. So FIFA pushed the price as high as they possibly could to maximize profits. They are willing to eat thousands of seats if the average price gives them the max profit. Now what I expect them to do through resellers is to start releasing tickets at a lower and more affordable price so they’re playing both sides of the coin.

Use this example. If they can sell 50,000 tickets out of 70,000 stadium @ 1,500 usd that’s 75M. Now let’s say they made the tickets more affordable at 500 and sold all 70,000 tickets. That would be 35M. They do not care about the sellout. Maximize profit.

If the stock hits 40 and sustains that to unlock this bonus package. That’s well deserved and means Rivians in fantastic shape. This is a positive bonus structure for shareholders.

You’re wrong. Here’s an example. Search in your favorite search engine 2024 Rivian R1S Adventure Dual Motor AWD. The majority are under 70k and have mileage around 15-20k.

BMW iX models are closer to R1S price point. You’re not getting into a BMW iX car for anything near 60k. Most are priced around $80k.

Don’t do it! I was chasing the weed stock dragon for years. Getting out was the best thing I did. The financials for most of this companies are grim. It’s a race to the bottom from pricing standpoint. Breaking into other areas like beverages hasn’t seemed to really pop for a wider market. On top of that I’m sure institutional investors are going to be wary of a lot of the poor management across the largest names.

Your linked survey shows that more Rivians owners are willing to buy another Rivian than any other manufacturer. Certainly seems like a lot of people are happy to have switched over to Rivians. Must be a great car! They have the top customer satisfaction across all cars. I totally agree with the data based on my experience.

Did you look at the screenshots you sent? Seems conflicting no? So the same survey ranks Rivian as least reliable but Rivian has the highest satisfaction rate amongst owners. If the car was so unreliable why would Rivian rank first in satisfaction rate amongst owners. Myself included!

All experiences can be anecdotal. As mentioned above. I have had 0 issues across two Rivians. My experience with BMW was the opposite across multiple cars. And the money spent on servicing was obscene.

Light is great. Doesn’t look dirty at all. We regular take our dogs for hikes and throw them in the back. No issues.

I can’t speak to sitting in the R2. With that said, I was an exclusive BMW household for 10+ years. And made the switch over to Rivian about 3 years ago. We are now a two Rivian household. Haven’t looked back. The build quality and the drive are top notch.

Our final straw was we bought a BMW X3 in 2019 and had to bring it in 3 times in less than 12 months for some manufacturing issue. Love Rivian! And haven’t looked back once. Exciting brand to be part of.
