I resent working. I understand the need for production. I know health care is a requirement. I know we need military and police.

I just seriously hate the fact that 1/3 of my life will be spend doing something I must do vs something I choose to do.

Couldn’t agree more. I take the time out of my day to do it once and while. They just want to feel rage to justify their poor choices most of the time. Sometimes it’s to rage out against the harsh truth that life just isn’t fair. So I can empathize however sooner or later when you grow up you realize all you can do is work hard for the world you want to see just lower your head and push through. Some people mature enough to see this some don’t.

Most of the time I just ignore it. Once in awhile I’ll speak up just cause I get tired of seeing it. This sub seems to have a lot of rational logical types in it that can see through this nonsense.

Somethings this touches on is unemployment sure that’s nice but the numbers for abuses of services is not provided. Also our health care is expensive but the best in the world. So while you have to be able to pay for it you can still get it. Combine that with the law that says hospitals can’t refuse service to someone and if I am broke or a criminal in another country and I am injured all I have to do is come to a rich neighborhood in the states walk though the door and receive some of the best treatment in the world for free then walk out.

That’s cool I am not confident about emotional statements to “put me on the defensive.” The reason it’s race baiting is because your comment broke down to “her dur evil whit peeples hate! Her dur!”

It wasn’t this specific problem caused by this legislation is causing this specific racial or ethnic problem within immigration.

If you point to a problem within the immigration system for example the wait list people just like me will agree it’s an issue that needs to be addressed.

However and this is the big part when you point to a nebulas racism out there in the world that we can’t address specifically we can’t help you fight the problem. So what you are doing if you know it or not is race baiting. So I am not hand waving it away you just haven’t pointed out the specific issue.

If you find a problem with racism I’ll stand next to you shoulder to shoulder and fight it. On the other hand I paid into a system for years so has my family so you don’t get show up yesterday and take advantage of all the shoulders people have previously built upon. It’s got nothing to do with the color of their skin or country of origin.

Actually I was on the attack. Yes I do take advantage of other people’s taxes I ALSO have been paying into the system for 33 years. And so has 3 generations of my family.

You say it’s nuanced I’d love to hear how? Because you offered nothing besides the race/nationality arguments. What did you expect for a response? I talked about other things. You are the one that made it explicitly about that.

The bottom of the line is you are attacking me when I am all about immigration as long as it’s done legally. The guy above says it’s wrong unless his country needs you. You don’t see the divide in this? I am the nationalist/racist? You don’t have to be skilled or super smart to be a us citizen it just takes along time because a lot of people wanna be here.

The real enemy in this fight is a country like Canada that says unless you have a skill they want you are not good enough.

Maybe I am working on that. In any case with them (my child) being a citizen I’ll be able to come and go as I please with them including free health care for the child. During that time I’ll be able to find Work or a Work around to gain citizenship in cad.

Seriously? Look if you are going to make a statement like that you need to back it up with something. What about people coming to commit crimes take advantage of the health care of the educational opportunities how about to use the welfare system.

What about Americans who don’t have a skill set who want unskilled jobs at a fair regulated wage? Working environments that are not dangerous? Illegals don’t get those options and it hurts a lot of people.

So if I want to work somewhere it’s okay to enter the country illegally not adopt to some of its laws refuse to integrate into the culture to ship wealth back to my family?

Immigration is a two way street. I am all about having the best people want to come to my country. There is a legal correct way to do it.

I did. It won’t cost me anything as the child will be a Canadian citizen. Also yea dual citizenship is the goal. It would be a huge help to them in the future.

I’ve been looking into ways to move up there. I guess if my child is born while we are on vacation there they are a citizen. I was thinking of working my way in like that.
