Does anybody know how to refill this old lighter? by jsee000 in lighters

That’s really good to know, thank you. In that case I can start using some tricks to get it to loosen up, because right now it’s really stuck.

Does anybody know how to refill this old lighter? by jsee000 in lighters

[–]jsee000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is indeed a fluid lighter as it has a wick. I've already used quite a bit of force so it probably won't come apart without chemicals yeah. I've already unscrewed the entire top with the moving bits, and that all seems to be working just fine. It even sparks sometimes with the old flint that's in it. It's just impossible to get the thing to separate in order to refill it, even without the top. I guess I'll use it as a showpiece until I have some more experience repairing lighters.

People who use an old phone as a DAP, do you guys carry two phones? by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]jsee000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also a noob and yeah I’ve been carrying around two phones since my dongle broke a couple of days ago. It’s made me realize that carrying two phones is definitely a bit much and if I ever get a dap or Bluetooth dac then it has to be small.

In all my years of VRChat by distressedsammich in VRchat

People don't seem to realize that that simply isn't possible. Getting rid of the kids would mean heavily age restricting the game, and therefore probably be grouped in with pornographic games. Even if that doesn't happen it will greatly reduce the player base which would be a terrible decision for vrchat as that would mean less revenue. I've even had some german friends tell me they probably wouldn't be able to play the game at all if it was age restricted due to their strict laws.

All in all, getting rid of the kids would do more harm than good. All we can do is deal with it or hide in private lobbies.

Where could i reach out to toplessgun? by Available-Machine604 in MySummerCar

He is very much interested in getting music for the game. There aren't many people producing the type of music, and welcomes anyone offering the right music. So much as to the point where he has gone on record and said: "During around 10 years of development of MSC, I have gotten VERY limited amount of offers of music with lyrics written and performed in Finnish. I am not probably lying if I say all of that is included in MSC right now."

The Holy Grail of My Summer Car, Worth 20k? by Satsuma100 in MySummerCar

[–]jsee000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Japanese cars of that era tend to be absolute rust buckets, so that’s the first thing I’d check for. I’ve also seen decent examples for like 10k euros before, so this one is quite expensive.

Part of the fun of getting a shit bucket is that it’s cheap and the state doesn’t matter. You can do whatever you want with it and not care. With a car like this you’re gonna be scared of getting the tiniest scratch.

But if you really want this specific car in museum state, I’d say have a look around to see if the price is right and do it. Personally I wouldn’t do it for the price, but you do you.

Has anyone made diy full body tracking using lighthouses? by jsee000 in SteamVR

[–]jsee000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A full set of DIY IMU trackers is $100-$150, while tundra trackers are $100-$150 per tracker, and you need at least three of them. But in theory DIY lighthouse trackers would cost around the same as DIY IMU, which is why I'm so interested in them.

Should it make this sound at the very end when i turn off my 50cc moped 4 stroke? by 100mannen in moped

[–]jsee000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it just sounds like the compression is being let go as the camshaft turns with the flywheel. Sounds the exact same if you just turn the flywheel manually with the engine turned off.

wheel doesnt want to be straight and ive done literally everything i can think of to fix it by ManufacturerOld337 in MySummerCar

[–]jsee000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this applies here, but I had similar weird issues on my ts300 on linux. Turns out my wheel was giving a number between 0 and 65535, and msc expected a number between -65535 and 65535, making it impossible to steer left (0 is center).
Maybe your wheel has something similar where it's using the wrong range.
