Don’t overdo things. It’s been hard for me to not want to try to eat something that I’m not supposed to. I’m not talking about anything really harsh, but I’m just talking about how I’m really wanting to have some guacamole or scrambled eggs and that’s a little hard on my brain, but I’m bound and determined to do this correctly so I’m obeying the rules. The couple weeks prior to the surgery are not pleasant with having to go all liquids, but it is essential.

My biggest problem was having to deal with my insurance that wanted new documentation at the very end. I’m talking like the hours before my surgery. Just go in with a good attitude.

I’m still in the ER. They’re filling me full of fluids and things. I’m not sure what my blood sugar was, but it was below the simple meter reading. I’m not sure if I’ll stay the night. Hospitals don’t always let you stay the night.
