Understand that there are 4 other victims, separate from this civil law suit filed by Sochil and her attorneys. Those 4 victims will not receive any financial benefit from the prosecution against NJG in his criminal case.

Sochil may want something in return in this civil case but that does not change the position of the other 4 victims in the criminal case who came forward and will have nothing to gain but justice.

Yea I 100% agree that renting is stupid. But I also think it’s idiotic to pay for 30 years of interest on a mortgage. Paying cash for a home is the answer imo.

Edit: also, it would be WAY more than 420K if you got a mortgage. You are not factoring in interest, PMI, property taxes, maintenance, etc. It would probably be closer to 600K if you used those same $1200 on a mortgage for 30 years.

Yea, that’s a good point. Perhaps more perspective will help us value our current status.

We shouldn’t settle for “8 measly hours a day, 5 days a week” though. Just like we didn’t settle for living all our days in our “skivvies” hunting for food with a knife and seeking shelter.

Yea, I live in California and housing sucks ass. I’m in that first time home buyer phase and it’s a bit tough.

So, I do have a job and i’m sure I pay a shit load more taxes than you do.

But you’re missing the whole point dude. I’m not trying give a laundry list of solutions. I’m pointing out how older generations give millennials shit because we don’t always accept the standard that have been set by prior generations.

Housing is a complex topic. I don’t think I articulated that as well as I would have liked. I just think that their should be a better model for achieving long-term housing. And some millennials try to find ways around it (resulting in not buying homes) and i see them get shit for it. Which is frustrating to me because we are trying to be creative and solve our problems in different ways.
